First, I was amazed by such unhuman movement, it's truly difficult to pull off that puppet style, second, for those that think he sucks, or if others dance better, your looking at this wrong. Walid just showcased his art of puppet style dance, incorporating popping and some funky flavor. Other dancers emphasize other aspects such as extreme precision. You can't turn off the music because this dance revolves 100% on musicality, that means going with the music in the smoothest sense possible, even if you never heard the song before. It literally takes years to master this style. It looks loose and weird, but picture him being controlled by strings like a puppet. His joints aren't locked, but loose to provide smooth loose movement. Did you not notice the story of this dance? In the beginning, as he looks up, raising his hands, he was essentially demonstrating through his dance that he was in an inferior position where his movements were being controlled, like a puppeteer controlling his puppets. All of this implicit meaning was depicted by this showcase. It takes a lot of observing to understand. For those that think he sucks, you probably dance like an epileptic, no offense epileptic people. Go learn before you judge noobs.

I dont know what is all the hype??? his showcase was okay. he made alot of bad calls this competition. ive seen cats in a cypher killing better funk than this show case. and i know why he put dassy through and not greenteck its cuz hes probably jealous of green. walid's balance sucks u can say im crazy but let the vids speak for its self he probably wishes he can do some of the stuff green does.. nothing special about this. it was a fun performance but i wasnt amazed at all or blown away.

He's taking very basics, the most fundamental aspects of dance and dancing with it. Its his musicality that is impressive.I couldn't do it, even though I can do any of his movements. Dancing is an art, not a sport. Good dancing doesn't mean showcasing your full technical ability. You use your technical skill to dance to music. There are a lot of dancers, too many that call themselves poppers that think they are good dancers because they know how to wave, tut, and do ground moves. They aren't actually dancing to the music.
