Greenteck proved this battle he is one of the best poppers right now, jeez, musicality and technicality!

i swear, you need commercial breaks when it's greentecks' turn.

Walid has obviously lost his mind.

I have 2 problems with the judge. I cant understand picking a winner when that person has already conceded defeat. Dassy points to Green as the winner at 6: 22. And I heard her say as much soon after. Secondly you dont get to see the real winner compete anymore. No respect for the judge.

all I can say and should be said is Greenteck got robbed, props to Dassy but she knew she didn't win at the end. poor judging by Walid :(

Being a complete outsider here, (and i cant dance) i am an enthusiast an have watched since 1983/84 when i was 15-16 years old. Its just my opinion and based on what ive seen from 1983 to now...i think Greenteck is the best overall popper in the world. I love his New moves combined with the old school stuff and his musicality and precision is second to none. I see alot of Gimmicky and generic looking moves that are used by so many poppers. I also like Salah, but for different reasons. He's talented and fun to watch and a genius in his own right, but he seems more about funny tricks and clever moves that don't necessarily translate into a great poppin routine. So many great poppers, but i also see alot of what i consider as incoherent & sloppy. Anyways....Just my personal opinion. Im just glad to see these Young-uns keep the movement alive and thriving! P.S. I have tried to pop many times for many years, but if ya aint got it - ya aint got it......AND I AINT GOT IT!!!

I think we need to see the judges criteria of success. It's clear that Greentech won. And that's taking foundation, execution, musicality and originality into account! The state of judging popping contests is bad and inconsistent! We need to see what judges are marking and those that seem to be getting it right (based on popular opinion) should have their judging criteria made public!

Greenteck was on another level on 2nd round. He definitely won.

because WALID be hating cause green can smoke him anyday. yeye he funks and what not but his funk isn't that clean just fun to watch. just watch his judging showcase it wasn't that great. just a fun performance but not a master piece.

Damn, greenteck too good in the second round. Really played it smart, if you watch carefully he is switching styles throughout both rounds and the transitions are smooth as hell. With that said Dassy brang her game and was also switching styles, I think maybe greens round was too long but he was on another level in this battle however both dancers were dope and they have my respect.

what's the first song ?!?!?! The battle was on fire tho, whatever the judges said. you enter a battle knowing who the judges are and by whom you will be judged. So everybody should just accept the results.

worst judge ive seen in my life

I would have said one more round. Dassy took the first round. Tek had the second from what I could see from the video. Tek looked a little tired in my opinion, his angles, lines, and hit looked like they weren't being stuck strongly. His waving solo in the second round was crazy...when I'm tired I always go to Robot, Waving, Slomo. Popping and Popping HARD takes a lot of energy. Dassy had good energy both rounds...so I see where Walid went with his decision. Walid trains like a professional dancer, physical fitness, flexibility, and stamina. I'm sure when he he is judging people younger than him he expects the same level of energy.

I have to disagree with this one. Seeing this in person, Greens angles weren't as tight as I have seen before. That aside, he controlled the stage, and put forth some very nice concepts, rhythm changes, tricks, and flow. Dassy is a great dancer, but I felt like she was predictable in this battle, and she lost energy at the end of both rounds. Dope to watch regardless. -TooTall[HeavyHittaz]

I would disagree to a an certain extent. I do agree Dassy Had more energy then Green, and energy definitly plays a big role in a battle. But i feel greenteck's Musicality was ridiculous and for that i think he should of won. But nevertheless, Dassy is a sick popper i wasnt mad about the result.

common j rock are you serious? talking about stamina, 4:38 takes alot of body control and body strength and stamina. and its a Dance battle not a energy battle. Dassy is a monster still. dassy was smooth all way round but green was more diverse and he should of won this one

james tyler Yeah I actually agree that what Green was doing takes a lot more stamina and physical strength than just banging the whole round. I can hit as hard as I can for 2 rounds because I'm in good shape (cardio wise), but not good enough shape to do what Green is doing. I can do what Dassy did (not as well, but I can move my body and do her movements because they're so basic). Not taking away from them. They're both dope, respect to both.

Couple people need to open their eyes. 1 ; the music is fine, stop calling out the DJ because your favourite dancer lost . 2 ; don't be a biased spectator, take everything into an account. Obviously the comment button is here for opinions, but screaming and shouting and venting how upset you are won't change the decision. On that note, my opinion is dassy won, close call though.

Green's second round deserves comment> 8)

The fact that neither Slim nor Green got the judges call is ridiculous. Sure I can see where you could possibly give Franquey the win but there is no way that Green lost this. I also love watching Green cause he won't stop dancing unless the beat stops or you stop him haha

IKR? but judges are human they make mistakes and now you gonna see some poppers that are on competitions come here and say OH GREEN DIDNT HAVE ENOUGHT ENERGY....FOR REAL? how long are hes round? Green almost always have more energy than oponnent 95% of his battles his set is way longer than the oponnent set...So yeah is not about him being a crowd pleaser wich he also is but his tecnique here was way to clean. and his set is like 2 minutes.and is following the beats...he doesnt need to do boogalo cause thats not his favorite style.i know walid is a boogalo guy but if you watch his battle in the top 16 in this event youll see walid wanting greenteck to do boogalo at 1:38.green has his style.doesnt need that.walid is a legend and all but hes human so its ok if he made this mistake.im not a dickrider of green or salah(who has done so many epic things in many events but ppl say hes a clown and not the best)anyways.LOOK at the green and salah vs 2 guys at bust a move..i mean wiggles is bigger legend than walid and still made the wrong call.i mean The way he danced you dont see it to often and even thought dassy did very well u seen her moves way to many times before...green is more original.proves to dassy.she is soo good anyways.

***** We all humans im ok with dassy winning but i know for fact Green won and when he losses i agree but not this one..he made the knee moves more popular now u see more people doing the style he started showing on 2010 no that he created it but hes making his style popular and poppers are being influenced wich is good.But what i hate is ppl coming here putting excuses that it was the right call..I loveeeee Walid boogalo style is so diferent and epic by the way..and i also love that Jrock does all styles we use in popping he can do anything tutting scarecrowd puppet robot etc etc...but STILL WRONG CALL....

Jrock may have a point in the Slim / Franqey battle, but surely he will agree this is a robbery. Dassy is a pure beast, but the sheer quantity+quality Green showed was insane. I've been getting bored of Greens moves recently...but in this battle he was just slaughtering. His second round is monstrous.

Hey if we weren't there its kinda hard to see who won. Footage doesn't do justice BUT Waliid has been revered as a bad judge lately. And I was told by ppl who have seen him judge live. Also Dassy apparently said to Green she thought she lost. to me! Thats enough to say Green most likely won. Cause Dassy knows the craft very well as u can see.

Judging was completely off the mark. Many have said that Walid is not a good judge, I have usually disagreed with that statement in the past, but "In-This-Battle" judgement was horrible.

In my opinion ，Greenteck in battle like a show :) I like his style. whatever he won this battle or not.

The thing about Greentek is that sometimes he's off his game. He either takes it to the next level and nails it hard or just does mediocre and deserves the loss. This is a perfect example of Green nailing it hard. He is in *that* zone we get the pleasure of seeing sometimes. Bad call. Judge needs to get off his high horse.

dassy is nice with it but green was clearly robbed. he utilized more techniques and styles than she did. over all he was a better popper and his musicality was on par with if not better than hers. Like i said she was beast with it but imo she lost by a long shot.

I really don't see how Teck lost this battle. I've watched this video about 5 or 6 times to get a good view from both sides & I can't see it all. At the worst it should of went to a tiebreaker round & that's if I was just being a complete ass as a judge. But basically it's just the area of the competition it seems not to be disrespectful in any way. If I'm not mistaken it was a predominantly Asian crowd & those judges seem to root more in that favor alot of times (not always) from alot of battles/competitions I've seen or been to.

At first glance I would have given it to Greentech, but after a second watch I can see that Dassy has a cleaner harder hit, and in my opinion is dancing more, whereas Greentech is showcasing more techniques and tricks. This is a similar contrast to the final battle between Slim and Franqey. So I can see now how the judge is making his choices, and I don't think theres anything wrong with that just a matter of preference. Its good to know what the judge likes when your battling so you can dance accordingly.

Dassy, harder hit yes and dope dancing....however, the beautiful thing about Green is his musicality underneath some of the 'candy'. I would never want to 'alter' my style just from knowing what the judge likes (too much anyways)

From youtube perspective, I would say Greenteck has been robbed BUT I WONT JUDGE LIKE THIS. I wasn't there and I didnt see battle live SO I'M GONNA JUST RESPECT WALID'S DECISION. Peace.

They needed to time the length of the rounds. We have a minute and half of dassy and 4 and half minutes of greentek. His last round is 3 minutes long, while dassy's was about one. I really don't like too youtube judge. What I can see is that dassy seems to show more popping foundation through out. A lot of greenteck's second round was heavy on animation and light on popping. If you take a purist approach animation and popping are different dances unless you are popping while animating. I could see a judge not putting so much stock in to greentecks second round basically on the grounds that this is a popping competition, and not all styles. Of course I have no idea whats walids criteria was.

To me is one of the best battles of 2013 so far, and one of the best of greenteck. He was onfire at every second of the 2nd round. Even that Green has lost, he lost to a very very good dancer.

not being a hater but green clearly won that. dassy was fire but green put the fire out. green was diverse and consistent with his flow, so was dassy but green out did her for sure. I understand walid is the judge and its his choice but common man. Thats horrible.

Not his best performance. Perhaps being at that high level judges expected more from him. A much closer of a battle than what a lot of you make it out to be.

Worst decision i've seen in my whole life in any sport or competition involving judges. It has nothing to do with the fact I like Greenteck better as a dancer than Dassy. This judge needs to stop judging. I'm gonna make sure I never watch any competition he's involved in judging.

greenteck was super cool but daisy had very high quality movement.. u don't pick it up so well on video but in person u can see.. her movement is very clean and elegant..

The style greenteck has "g-style" doensm't really show alot of actual boogaloo/animation or any other style that is perticularily connected to the original thought behind popping. G-style is rather dull in my opinion.
