My Grandad loved this sitcom, so did I when I watched it with him. Seymour, Compo, Foggy, Nora, Clegg, Wally and Eli were all my favourites.

Joe gladwin was my neighbor used to get his pension for him at Lansdowne road post office crumpsall Salford he used to do the collection at st Anne's church crescent road crumpsall 😍

I am most grateful for the lyrics provided here, not least because I am a big fan of the art of lyric writing, but also because I had been aware only of the charming orchestral version of this evocative theme. The author of the stories has to be one of the most gifted and deservedly enduring talents in sitcom writing. Take a big bow, Roy Clarke.

Getting Sam Home is so funny. I believe at the time it was trailed as a kind of ( film) for Summer Wine. If I remember correctly. Celebrating 10 years of the show.
