I love the way Edie always puts newspapers down every time Wesley's about to come in from his shed.

We would watch this when our children were very young . And soon as it was over it was over it bedtime. And the opening and closing music brings back those beautiful memories

You could have seen how Teared my eyes are right now. Remember watching it on TV in the 90s before mom's passing. It has brought back all the memories when was in primary school. Your soul continue Resting in Peace Mom 😢.

Such a beautiful show in every way possible, the music, the characters, comedy and the scenery. I always wanted to visit the places the series was shot. It's simply unsurpassable in any way. Love it.

I was in Holmfirth 10 years ago; I took the Summer Wine tour in this really cool old jalopy that started just steps away from Ivy’s café, had lunch at Ivy’s café, and saw various film locations!

What a great show they are gone but there not forgotten

Sadly almost all, apart from Glenda (Sarah Thomas,) have now gone. Will never see the like again. One of my favourites on here was Joe Gladwin. Such a versatile actor. sadly died in 1987. Catch him in 'Nearest & Dearest' as the lecherous pickler Stan Hardman. R.I.P. Joe.

Compo is my favorite! He is the funniest if I could watch him all day I would literally be sooo happy!

One of my favorites of series. Also, I like Digby's Donkey. Love harmonica music and scenes of the hills. It is all sentimentally beautiful.

I totally agree. Brilliant acting. So funny, with no bad language. Still watch them today. Out of all comedies this is my favourite.

I want to thank you for the show that I have been watching Last of the Summer Wine it's been a laughter laughter laughter because it's been great being able to have a show where there is no cursing nothing nasty everything nice and I am able to understand every word and I can tell you and I watch a lot of shows but this one tops them all thank you and I'm hoping to see more of this type of shows it's great to see 3 guys going to different trials and tribulations

I think nearly everyone has friends like this, even if they don't see them like this. Folks that when you get together you have a good time with. Sometimes it's just a few members of your family, or a few co-workers.

Some of us don't have any friends at all.

I can't believe Clegg and Seymour wear ties when they are out in the countryside. Even Compo follows the dress code, although more roughly. Even the pub goers are all wearing jackets and ties.

I think this is because the characters they represent are from an era where everyone dressed more smartly, as a matter of personal pride.. Most people were not seen outside without a hat ..! (That’s what adds to the humour!)

Compo and Nora Battie are the perfect couple.

It would be great to have a similar comedy show like this again, where the men could have their go at the mean women! In particular Ivy and Howard's wife.

I have a feeling that nearly 75% of the laughs were lost with the chopping of the pictures. Definitely one of the better episodes.
