Just saw where Tom Owen/ Tom Simmonite passed away back in November 2022.....he was only 73! 😣 His father, Bill Owen/Compo Simmonite died at 85... Love these episodes , keeps them all alive in a sense. ❣️

"She left me!" Says Smiles. "How did you manage that? My missus never leaves me!" Brilliant! Love this show.
Such a relaxing show, when I get home after work so nice to watch so silly but in a wonderful way
Love love love this show! No sex, no naked bodies writhing, just great humour! Many thanks!

"She beat him at darts domino's and arm wrestling" "probably trained by Nora Batty" 😂😂 brilliant 😂😂
Great story I heard about Peter Sallis. When Nick Park was making Wallis and Gromit and had little money he approached Peter Sallis (Clegg) about doing the voice. And Sallis agreed to do it for nothing as Park was skint, he said “if it’s successful then you can pay me”. What a guy!!!

m Clegg was the last to pass. In June 2017 Peter and bill were the only characters than never changed! Bill past in 1999 bill played compo for 26 years!
Back in the day, I wasn't all that into this series, but I will admit these shows are starting to grow on me.
Great writing! It's amazing how the writer's were able to weave the story lines together in such an easy way like this.

Dora Bryan - Delightful actress.
I grew up watching last of the summer wine.takes me back to childhood
Be nice to have a group of friends to get in trouble with like these mates.
Nora: This stuff chosen for serviceability not for entertainment. Alvin: You are not kidding there. Bwahaha 😂 These two are my favorite.

I’d love to see Glenda with her hair flowing in the wind 👍
I love the shows I laugh so much
I have decided that as I get older I’m going to act like this group. The men anyway, they are so twistedly creative I laugh at the ideas they come up with.

As long as there is a loyal fan base they will never leave us. I stopped trying to figure out why liking this show has become such a part of me, maybe it's the town life?

Totally agree with comment about canned laughter. So annoying. Love every episode with Billy. Love Howard. Hate Pearl. Love Auntie. Love Entwistle. Love the policemen! Watch these episodes over and over. Thank you for making them available.

If you like Clegg then check out first of the summer wine it's about their lives at 18 years of age set in the 1930's
Mrs Richards: "I paid for a room with a view!" Basil: (pointing to the lovely view) "That is Torquay, Madam." Mrs Richards: "It's not good enough!" Basil: "May I ask what you were expecting to see out of a Torquay hotel bedroom window? Sydney Opera House, perhaps? the Hanging Gardens of Babylon? Herds of wildebeest sweeping majestically past?..." Mrs Richards: "Don't be silly! I expect to be able to see the sea!" Basil: "You can see the sea, it's over there between the land and the sky." Mrs Richards: "I'm not satisfied. But I shall stay. But I expect a reduction." Basil: "Why?! Because Krakatoa's not erupting at the moment?"
To Be honest it’s the passing of the cakes around. My mum would always buy two chocolate eclair and keep one in the fridge. In case She wast fast enough.
Remember when Smiler was a different character early on in the show and was in the hospital wanting to see his dog?

Love this show! Thank you!
I'm Alvin, swimmer of rivers. And as always to much can laughter.
I've watched this one, as long as all the others 100s of times over the years and yet never noticed that Clegg had lost most of his hair . Funny, I guess I've always been so enamored with him I just didnt notice. RIP my favorite actors and show.
Actually Smiler, is probably the most grounded of the bunch.
I'll like some other show please I live on this show no guns no blowing up no swearing, I love it we need some others please thank you. And keep going on
I just learned we lost Electric Entwistle in May."See ya, Kato"!

Did they write out both Wally Batty and Sid at the same time because they died?
Funny: some women as treacle tarts! There were none of those in this video. They were mostly mean and nasty.
"if Norman wrote this and it would be turned into a novel it would be like Peyton Place but it would entitled.......... Holmfirth Place it would become a best selling novel but seriously would anybody believe this is based on a True Story it we a laugh riot and maybe be turned into a movie produced by BBC and not a Hollywood film because they would just mess it up."
