Will comment on the obviously omitted aspect of hard cutting. I’ve cut many times in my youth but nothing made it more doable / sustainable than HRT. At 45 years old, 200 mg test weekly and 60 mg armour thyroid daily, I Was able to run huge calorie deficits (1500+ per day) and my Metabolism didn’t stall out / never hit a wall, could do 90 mins of cardio a day, 4 to 5 training sessions per week, and kept all my strength. I can tell you it is NIGHT AND DAY doing this naturally vs some sort of hormonal assistance. And this is just HRT. I urge anyone over 30 who has dieted hard in the past to get hormone levels checked.

I learn my lesson,I had to eat 5 giant meals along with water to maintain 210lbs because of the demanding job I had for 15 years or so in construction running up and down 3 flights of stairs all day everyday during the summer in the heat also the winter was tough sweat from the layers constantly struggling to gain size because I couldn’t stomach anymore and in my eyes I wasn’t Evan that big I went wrong thinking it was my metabolism that’s what I had in my ear my whole life and I kept eating the way I was when I should have cut back a lot. I wouldn’t consider myself obese as I stayed really lean everywhere except my gut hips and pits lesson learned I just hope I don’t end up with the loose skin By taking my time and try to have amazing abs by August. I started my cut in February

I think a lot of people don’t understand- 1) what/how much they should be eating. Not even “cutting”. The statement “I need to eat more/less” is pointless if you don’t know how much you should actually be eating on a daily basis.

@@JayCutlerTV absolutely! As I close in on 50, it’s personally taken over a year or so of tracking my macros and adjusting (along with monitoring my “progress” in the gym) to get consistent results. I expect that will continue as I lose more weight and add muscle.

(M 41 140 lbs 5’/9”)My cut is killing me. I was at 2500 cals down from 3000 and working out 6 days a week with day 7 as an active rest day. No substantial fat loss during that time. Cut down to 1700 cals and I’ve been there for 8 weeks. Still minimal fat loss. My workouts are weightlifting, swimming, walking 20k+ steps per day plus cycling 30-50 miles on the weekend so an average of 4 hours a day I’m pushing myself. I’m so fatigued and starving 24/7 doing anything is extremely exhausting. Not sure what to do at this point.

Carnivore or not? Non-carnivore, add a lot of green veggie filler. Make sure you have enough saturated fat and protein. If you have enough fat and protein, your hormones output changes on a dime, telling you that you aren't hungry and should stop. A full stomach, whether from veggies or whatever, does the same. Tldr, hit your macros, carbs should include LOTS of greens. Carnivore, eat lots of eggs. First meal when you feel hungry. Dinner a few hours before bed. Eggs are hard to eat a lot of. If one meal is eggs and bacon, eating too many calories is hard. Dinner can be a 10oz steak with nothing else. You're going to sleep soon, and it has everything you need and won't get hungry later. I did bacon, eggs, cheese for breakfast under 1k calories, and 10oz ribeye under 1k calories. I was never hungry. I had trouble eating all my eggs and bacon.
