Osaka Station 17:42 Limited Express Thunder Bird No. 37 bound for Kanazawa JR West 683 series train B40+R10 formation
The audio from the train window is recorded in high resolution using a linear PCM recorder.
This photo was taken on the last day of service to Kanazawa, the day before the timetable revision.
As the conductor announced, this is Japan's fastest limited express train, with a nominal speed of 106km/h.
It's a train that I have a lot of fond memories of, having ridden it many times and failed to photograph it many times, so I wanted to capture the last day's run on film.
Due to the delay of the preceding train, there was a maximum delay of 4 minutes along the way, but we arrived at Kanazawa 2 minutes late.
The departure scene of Shirasagi No. 66 towards the end of the video was taken by my nephew.

    甥っ子が同じ9号で金沢に向かいました。運行最終日の放送があったり、日付スタンプ入りの記念カードも貰えたので良かったですよね。

    僕は最後の北陸本線の特急サンダーバード号にも乗れず、見納めにも行けなかったのでとても残念ではございますがこの先も敦賀~大阪間の特急サンダーバードとして引き続き頑張って欲しいですね😊

    バス会社は便を増やして客を奪うチャンスだと思いますが、肝心の運転手不足で増便はあまりないのかなと予想してます。
