Graduated at AHS in 2020 i loved to see how things were in the 80s. Times seemed way better and different in this era.

Good to see a bunch of happy kids. Now, the last day of school is about who is going to kick whose ass, shootings, etc. This is priceless even though I didn't go to school here. I'm from South Texas.

I’m currently in Martin High School. It’s a nice school, but it doesn’t really have the same atmosphere that this video has. You know?

Social media destroyed everything. Even the nerds weren't socially awkward back then.

Uh, yes we were. It would depend on who we were talking to. If that had been a jock or preppie behind the camera, we probably wouldn't have spoken. There were exceptions though.

@Jeffrey Smith Nerds were nice kids. There were multiple groups. Nerds would be ignored by the cool kids, but the elite group was small. At my school, I campaigned to have one of the nerds voted most popular. He won! The most popular girl was upset. To this day, I love seeing the picture of the most popular girl with the most popular nerd. Totally bitchin’

Facts, as someone who went to public highschool from 2010-2014 I can confirm this hat social media did infact ruin public schools.. made everybody into self absorbed assholes

I hope these people got a good life and future after this day.

I just graduated this year. It's funny how it looks the same now as it did then but at the same time so so different

Arlington? I have family there. And back then too. We lived in Grand Prairie. Valley View Apartments. Directly across the street from the High School. My aunt and uncle lived on the other side of the school in Oak Hill Apartments. 1984. The music was a non stop party.

9:58 It's great to see Mr. J early on at the school. He retired in 2004 from teaching, and just retired from conducting the Arlington Master Chorale this year. And to see him threaten Sopranos with a driver... nothing has really changed.😂

This is SO AMAZING. Just graduating last year, I love seeing what it was like back then. It's amazing

It was amazing times and we didn't even know it. I graduated in 1991. Nobody knew the future was going to be so crappy. I wish my kids would of known life in America back then.

I was in H.S. at this time. I haven't smelled Aqua-Net in 30 years, but I thought of the smell while watching this,....lmao!

I graduated from Lamar that same year. Was hoping to see some people I may have known from Six Flags or All-City Band or Orchestra. And I did! Jennifer Wiggin in the white t-shirt at 17:17.

I graduated in '88 from RL Turner in Carrollton/Farmers Branch. Good, good times.

Where are they at today, I joined the Marine Corp n returned home to Arlington Texas 2013 I'm still here n pass by MHS every other day. My niece is a varsity cheerleader at MHS, LOL

Wonder how these folks are doing today? Wonder how many are married/single? How many has their dreams fulfilled? How many have passed on to the other side? How many wish they could go back in time? Anyways, I'm outta here!! Have a great day!

It's really interesting isn't it?? Thanks for the comment. Just recently I attended the 50th birthday of an individual who is in this video... A few folks from this video attended the party. One is a City Council Member of Arlington, Tx. Another person in this video is a District Attorney who has been in some court cases that were national news. And, of course, there are some in this video who I know that are now living month to month. One person in this video was injured on the job a few years ago and now has to use a wheel chair. When I recorded this, I was "that kid" who always walked around with a camera or, in this one case, brought a video camera to school. Remember, that at this time, a video camera was about 8 pounds, could record only about an hour of footage before it needed recharging, and it was about 6 inches wide by 1 1/2 feet long... Huge... But I am so happy to have captured these moments. I hope you saw my other video from the movie theater I used to work at. Same thing... A moment in time. I love those friends... I know that one of the guys in the movie theater passed away about 5 years ago which caused a few of us old friends to reach out to each other and reconnect.

The school looks a lot different then it is now I graduated there in 2017

I met a girl from Martin in 1986 or 87 can't remember but she had family in Duncanville and would visit in the summer and we'd mess around when she'd come to visit. Man for the life of me I can't remember her name but she was a little brunette and I remember she was beautiful.

Back then it was awkward to get filmed 😂felt like one was already going live and everyone was watching you😂 but it was fun!

I saw Wendy Anderson and Christie Bristow this time! Oh! Brian Moose!

High school was a difficult time for me I was a foot shorter than the girls 40 lbs overweight with crooked yellow teeth and a bad case of gas the ugliest girl in school would not give me the time of day so predictably I played with myself a lot and over time went blind

Martin high is still the same building. There just added on to it.
