Why should someone fight for the end of civilization?

I’ve engaged in activism for the environment through a lot of different ways, and it really bothers me that I have been compared with you guys. From the perspective of an adult who’s trying to get things done, you are the walking definition of clout-chasers in it for the performative virtue.

Okay "Just Stop Oil" answer me, what kind source of energy that we can replace good old fossil fuels? Do you know why we use fossil fuels in the first place? Because it's so efficient and cheap! Bioethanol and all kind of oil that produce from palm oil or other kind of plant base oil are hard to produce (inefficient) and expensive because it kind of new technologies. Fuel cells, Hybrid, or electric cars that common here were using battries that from poor african countries (they use child labour too) and rifened in china and sending the battries to car manufacture, it cause carbon footprint too from the shipment! Al have pros and cons, if you have a better ways for subtitute the oil, I mean that your organization say "Just Stop Oil". And now show the solution!

Renewable energy is now very efficient. Hemp was used for lots of things and is very sustainable. Culturally reducing needs by insulation and localising resources. Public transport , safe cycling options. Same old isn't going to be an option

Fossil fuels can only turn a profit because of gigantic fossil fuel subsidies. The richest fossil fuel company made 378 billion dollars last year and the whole industry would top at less than 1 trillion dollars meanwhile, the whole fossil fuel industry receives 7 TRILLION dollars in subsidies in 2022. Fossil fuels are literally only effecient because they lobbied governments to bail them out on a daily basis.

@@dihar5966 why do you assume that I support biofiels just because I don't support fossil fuels? The solution is electrification, and most importantly, reducing consumption overall, especially when it comes to cars for transport and trucks for cargo transport.

Keep up the good fight. We need to stop burning fossil fuels, to protect our younger generations. There are plenty of renewable methods of producing energy, e.g. wind, solar, hydroelectric and tidal.

solar panels use more energy to create them than they produce in their lifetime and they are very polluting materials in them.. same with electric batteries for cars, very very very toxic the lithium mining and it's destroying pristine parts of South America
