I'd like it. That's a cool idea, but... I don't think they're going to do a haslab at that scale anytime soon. I feel like it should be 5 or so years at least before they'll consider doing another Unicron that big.
I'm expecting the Haslab to be Primus but I think it would be hilarious if it turned out to be Beast Machines Megatron with a Savage Noble figure as a bonus just to mess with everyone.
From what I remember, depending on the continuity, Cybertron/Primus is not necessarily a full 1/1 with Unicron. It would make sense for it to be smaller anyway. Plus it gives them a ton of leeway design wise. Do they go full Cybertron design? Do they go Marvel comics design? Do they go War Within Primus? Plus there's a ton of easter eggs like the Not-Rodimus Head, the Rapier from the original comics run, etc.

There was a convention panel or something where the designers got asked about the future of Titan Class (as a bad rumour had spread saying Titans were finished). Evan or someone said that Titans were here to stay, and there's been several mentions of possibilities from that panel, to the fanstreams: TFP Thunderwing, Cybertron Quickmix / Menasor, Armada Tidal Wave, etc. [I think a more accurate Metro/Fort Max has been spoken of too, but cannot remember if true or not] With the latter on the way in Legacy: United, these others are likely in some sort of design phase - even if merely written words, or a single sketch. Especially since Tidal Wave will no doubt get a SS: GE repaint, unless they market him in Gen Selects as toy accurate colours. Tidal Wave was my biggest want, outside of a Brave Maximus (RID 2001 Fortress). After them, would be the Gigantions, then the WFC titans: Omega and Tryppy, followed by Thunderwing. Though TFA Supreme could be cool.
Retracting that statement about Optimus in HasLabs really changes everything. I was so firmly in camp Primus since the first "omega" tease because of that, but learning today that it's been taken back, I really can't see it being anything other than Omega Prime.
If it's not Devastator then I really hope they announce him sometime in the near future in the ss86 line... Constructicons are in dire need of an upgrade.. especially after how good Omega Supreme came out in siege...
I'm putting all my poker chips in for Primus as the next Transformers Haslab project.
"Fire up your engine" feels a little too vague, imo. It's a common expression, and even taken literally it can refer to any vehicle. I think going from that to "It's probably gonna be Omega Prime" is a big leap.

Never saw anyone clamoring for Omega Prime specifically. New Fire Convoy? Sure. Considering it's 1) an Optimus for all intents and purposes 2) with good repaint options, I'd be really surprised if they chose do to this character as a HasLab project.
I think if Omega means Omega Supreme, then I think itll be Energon Omega Supreme. Here's why: - Energon 20th anniversary is day after the stream - Energon lacking a Titan for Unicron Trilogy (Armada has Tidalwave, Cybertron has Metroplex) - "Fueled up on Energon" bit from the post - Too niche for a regular Titan class but could probably work in HasLab - It would need to be accurate, pose great, be a headmaster, the body has to split into the crane and warship, the parts have to combine into the large train thingy and Robot mode whilst not affecting head articulation

Energon Omega Supreme in undoubtedly Titan class. The way I can see it being truly Haslab worthy is if it comes with Energon Wing Saber and both are very much compatible with a future Energon Optimus Prime, but then they would need to do Energon in the mainline unless Haslab wants to be overpopulated with Energon projects

@@Robotopsian yeah. Energon is a financial gamble compared to Armada, Beast Wars, G1, even R.I.D 2000 is a safer bet than Energon.
The problem I have with the devastator argument is that we don't NEED haslabfor that, they were in the 86 movie, thus we'll most likely be getting a devaststor through there. I'm personally hoping for Deluxe sized voyager Constructicons
Imagine if someone took Kindom Ark and HEAVILY retooled that into Animated Omega…that might work at retail.
Well I would say that when the Haslab Unicron was coming out the 3rd party one was coming out too. Now the same 3rd party company is releasing a Primus so Haslab is fallowing suit
As much as i’d love an new RiD01 Optimus I don’t know if it’d want to pay a Haslab price, though since it’s the 40th anniversary my bet is it’s gonna be something G1 related.
Primus himself doesn’t have the same oomph as Unicron, that’s true…but Cybertron seems like the most obvious one. There’s no better way to celebrate the 40th Anniversary than that IMO.
I think the Haslab is obviously Primus... and I actually thought it was already confirmed to be Primus? Maybe the figure I saw was a 3rd Party figure, possibly by the same company that made Cell, the 3rd Party Unicron, I might have to find that again to figure out what that was but I know I've seen an upcomming Primus figure somewhere. Aside from the photo of all the Unicrons in the display with a Cybertron Primus up top there's also just the fact that Haslab already did Unicron and they have to do Primus at some point. They can't make one and not the other. I don't think they're going to do Omega Prime, not as a Haslab. I'm fairly confident that can sell at retail because Omega Prime is still the best Optimus combiner they've ever made and the original figures are in DESPERATE need of an update because the rubber tires suffered from degradation after about 10 years of that figure being released. I have those figures sitting on my shelf and the tires have disintegrated just sitting there not doing anything. It LOOKS cool but I basically can't touch those figures anymore. I NEED a replacement for that set that can actually last more than 10 years without falling apart. And I don't think it would have a problem selling to kids either. Plus we know we're getting a Side Burn in Legacy, I wouldn't be surprised if we also got Prowl and X-Brawn at some point so that they could all be towed inside of Ultra Magnus just like the original toy could do. We're not going to get the Autobot brothers if it's a Haslab because why would release Side Burn as a Haslab when they have a retail version coming out at around the same time. That's the only way I could see Omega Prime as Haslab is if they're also going to include the Autobot Brothers as one of the tier goals. It might not be a guarantee that the set will actually include them, Optimus and Ultra Magnus yes but the Autobot Brothers have to be a tier goal because they aren't part of the combiner but they are required for one of Magnus' main gimmicks. They could do Magnus without them but that's why they would be an optional goal. I don't know if they'd actually reach that goal but I can't imagine what else you'd put as tier goals other than the Autobot Brothers, maybe a diorama including T-AI for Optimus to stand on. Honestly I don't even really need a full update for those figures, I just need replacement parts so I can swap out the rubber tires for plastic ones. I don't think Hasbro will ever make official upgrade kits for older figures though so just give me new versions at retail. I'm never going to replace these things if they do it as a Haslab. Not only do I not want a Haslab because I can't afford that but I just don't see what they could do with Omega Prime as a Haslab that they couldn't do at standard retail. Again I'm thinking about what they could add as tier levels to be unlocked and I'm just drawing a blank on anything that would make good incentives. The diorama T-AI display stand for Optimus. The Autobot Brothers for Ultra Magnus. Maybe the God Sword accessory which they had in Japan but not in the U.S. I believe because it was actually Brave Maximus' sword originally and that never came out in the U.S. Those are the only things I could think of to add in that would make the Haslab worth it and I don't need any of those things, I really just want the bog standard figures that a retail release would give us. You mention how weirdly proportioned Magnus is but those are adult complaints, a kid is not going to care about that. They're just going to see the combiner and be instantly sold on Ultra Magnus. That's literally what sold me on Ultra Magnus granted I was in high school when Ultra Magnus came out... I feel like I was younger but math doesn't lie... I think they should make it a solid rule to never do Optimus Prime as a Haslab because it will always sell and there's no reason to. You'd have to do the Masquerade version of Optimus Prime where he's disguised as Motormaster because there's no way that should even work as physical toy to make a Haslab Optimus Prime. Pretty sure Haslab would be the only way they'd even attempt to do a combiner that has to have 2 vehicle modes and 2 robot modes for every figure in the set just to reference a single episode of a cartoon. I know we got Origin figures which should be impossible but they only have to have 2 modes not 5. Masquerade Autobot Menasor would be damn near impossible at any price. I almost thought Combiner Wars was going to do it when I found out Optimus and Motormaster were sharing a mold but that really wasn't the case.
I'm curious what your thoughts would be about a retail or haslab releases of Magnaboss and/or Tripredacus?
It’s 100% Primus, simply because Cybertron is the most omnipresent aspect of the lore in this entire franchise, it’s been there since the beginning, hell it was the very first thing we saw. Now, do I WANT a $600 shellformer ball? No thanks. I much prefer the smaller, $200 commander-sized figures with tons of accessories. So it’ll be a pass from me.
What would make Hardcore fans of G1 Transformers like Haslab is if they make a G1 Megatron ( the pistol, not the DAMN tank)

They're doing a transforming Cybertron. All the hints seem to go that way.
You got a point, they might be playing it safe by doing figs priced at 200. And continuing the Japanese theme makes sense. I wanted a Primus, but I can settle for Omega.
Liokaiser!, Liokaiser!, Liokaiser!
Yeah I’ve been on team Omega Prime for a few months now kinda coming to terms with the reality that he probably won’t be done for the HasLab in favor of Primus, but man those more recent hints have given me a lot more hope. I think the biggest piece of evidence for Primus is that picture though. It certainly suggests something.
I'm hoping it's either close to 200 bucks or something that i don't want. lol to be fair about the never released again thing, they already sold their overstock on some haslabs (how i got a unicron). so i wouldn't be surprised to see a repaint.
As much as I hate that we’re never getting an Animated Omega Supreme for the reasons you said (though I strongly disagree about him not being popular enough), they absolutely could do him him In a gen selects/exclusive type thing. Just retool/repaint the Ark and boom

Is it really that much of a stretch to think any non-G1 version of Omega Supreme could just end up being the Titan Class figure some year? The name recognition alone would lend it a fair bit of weight, and the likes of Cybertron Metroplex and the upcoming Tidal Wave show they're willing to branch out into other continuities for Titan class. So long as the generations Animated figures continue to do well I wouldn't be shocked to see a Titan class Animated Omega Supreme in a few years.
I personally would pass on a Primus. I really appreciate the Haslabs saying around $200. I don't want another $600 Transformers character.
Omega Prime has been my HasLab wish for quite a while now. I have to say though that all your ideas are good. Now you just need a 2025 HasLab wish video.
lol yay!!!! You called it baby!! I backed mine already and can’t wait for your thoughts!!!!!
I'd say Primus would sell, even outside of those who want Primus himself, for the same reason that the Ark and Nemesis will likely have sold well, even if they aren't the best Titans; they turn into iconic items from the franchise that we would likely buy even without the robot mode.
I think the "Omega" hint means we'll be getting TJ as a transformer.

That Autobot City custom is outstanding homie. I saw it a while back and immediately wanted one. I wish it was real. As always, thanks for the content brother!
My idea is that it IS Primus… just not as we expect him to be. He’ll be a Commander-sized Missing Link-style “what-if” version of Primus meant to be what he’d have looked like if he was part of the G1 toyline. Imagine the robot mode looking like a mix of his Marvel Rodimus-inspired mug and IDW’s Rung.
I still think it's primus, like that shelve tease can't be random
I really hope it's animated omega supreme cause as an animated fan who grew up watching it, it always pained me how there has only ever been 1 third party option who ever did anything with it
Omega Prime would be great, though we would miss out on a Splendid Yellow repaint that way... It would have my backing anyway because that '01 series was my introduction to Transformers as a brand. Cybertron Primus is obvious as both an easter egg laden globe and a companion piece to Unicron. It would explain Omega as in 'Omega Lock'.
I can't even play with my titan class Devastator anymore because both of the tabs in Long Haul's shoulders that connect him to the bottom of Hook in combine mode broke off, and most of the joints have gotten too loose to pose the figure dynamically anymore. Honestly, I think Omega Prime could easily be achieved at retail if they make the Fire Convoy a Commander class and the God Magnus a Leader class in the same wave. This would allow the fire convoy to have the articulation necessary to give the firetruck bits the same functionality they had in the original toy while still allowing the magnus figure to combine with it. Plus to justify it, they could easily add more functionality like having the vehicles hook together such that one acts as a trailer for the other or find a way to have the fire engine bits connect to the combine mode to make a Super God Fire Convoy, which wouldn't be that difficult considering the number of 5MM ports that are engineered into most modern figures. To make the magnus figure more appealing, just advertise that smaller figures can be carried inside it like the original could do. Alternatively, make Omega Prime the titan class figure for that wave and you essentially have two commander class figures in the same box.
I would like there to be a haslab Raiden but since just got a masterpiece Raiden, that probably will take a while
I realised that 'omega' could hint at devastator again since omega supreme is kind of devastator's rival, but more than likely it'll be prime and I'd prefer the constructicons released individually in 86 as voyagers so I don't have to worry about buying my first haslab
I really want Primus/Cybertron. It hits the anniversary mark and is something that would need to be a Haslab. I think RID2001 Optimus would easily sell at retail at Commander Class, so I don't want him to be a Haslab. But if it is him... I'll get it. He's my first Optimus and I have no clue where my original toy is, and the Magnus *would* be a hard sell. RID2001 is the one series that has none and so far has no announced representation on my Optimus shelf, so I'd love an updated one. I agree with you about all the others. Some of them feel like some Mister Fantastic levels of stretching.
To me they sounded like they hinted it was going to be an Energon character. My thought is that it will be an Energon Overload. One that will combine with the Commander class Armada Optimus Prime that came out. I don't think it would be a huge character also. With the current financial troubles Hasbro is experiencing as well as the general populous, I doubt they would want to release an expensive toy. Something more in-line with the last Haslabs is my bet.

Overload is an Armada character.... in both the show AND toyline.... It did get a repaint in Energon, but it had inaccurate colouring of predominately yellow.
Man, what a terrible time to have money problems.
Probably it will be Omega Prime. And it would be great. But if they will do Primus, I really, really hope that they will do a G1 Primus, with the "hot rod style" colors like in the G1 comics.
It should be Monstructor as we haven't had a version since his first release...also it was my first completed combiner, so ❤️

What about a Landcross? :D
There's nothing I want less than a HasLab Primus. Unicron is enormous and really cool, but I do not have the space for two planets
It could be cybertrons Optimus prime and wing saber and Leo breaker 3 pack but omega prime or Primus could be it too
Retail Devestator may have to be leader for each to make them each triple changers. I wish there was an in between so they could be large voyagers for better release.
I thought Metroplex and Fortress Maximus always were the same size? They're both city formers. Also I always assumed that Metroplex was Autobot City. I never understood why he needed the smaller robots to initiate his transformation sequence in the 86 movie when every other time he was able to transform on his own but I just assumed Metroplex was low on Energon and that's why the Autobot shuttle was suppose to be delivering supplies there in the first place.
I can't see it being Omega Prime for the 40th. Maybe a Haslab down the line but not for this one. My money is on a Primus to go with Unicron. 40th Anniversary should be G1 centric and Primus fits that. Now the question is if it is him, what design will be used? Primus didn't appear in the G1 Cartoon. So will they base him off the Marvel Comics design that introduced him, the IDW, maybe an original design? They could go and just copy the Armada design, but then wouldn't that be an Armada Primus and not be G1?

I think Energon Omega Supreme would be a better titan than Haslab tbh, he is fairly simple, and given the accuracy of the show's 3d models, I don't see many areas dor them to change. Not to mention they are just now dipping their toes into energon with core Megatron. And as for Omega Prime, I'd rather get a commander Optimus and a commander Magnus tbh
I'm not going to but this Haslab, but my guesses are either Omega Supreme fromTF: Animated, Primus from TF: Cybertron, Giant Starscream from TF: Cybertron, or Unicron from TF: Energon.
Not gonna lie, would love seeing Liokaiser and Primus figures come out this year. It would make 2024 more complete in terms of new Transformer releases!
TFA Omega Supreme has the potential for Lugnut (or Starscream head retool) Supreme repaint. As such, I feel it deserves its own mold via mainline Titan Class. Though they could pull a HasLab Giant Man and simply give TFA Omega a couple extra heads to choose who's in control. Though this latter method would make the Starscream/Lugnut Supremes inaccurate in terms of colouring. Primus is my favourite theory, though Omega Prime ain't bad too. He/they could come with the Matrix Blade as a stretch goal. Hoping for Liokaiser next year: Electro-magnetic nunchaku for each robot, 6 Breast Animals, Liokaiser's blaster and melee weapon {with removeable spiky ring}, and Deathcobra with Cobrabreast. HasLab is the ONLY way these things could be reality.
I dont think fans would be happy with a Haslab Devastator. We would all prefer SS86 Constructicons I think.
BLAM! I think it's probably going to be either RID 2001 Optimus Prime and Magnus, G1 Devastotor, TLK Infernocus, Animated Omega Supreme, Beast Wars 2 Galvatron, Beast Machines Megatron, and finally RID 2001 Megatron.
I’m leading toward Omega Prime. Given how successful Victory Saber was, another Autobot Leader combiner would be perfect.
Masterpiece Powermaster Optimus Prime with Apex Armor. The only g1 optimus prime that would need to be haslab.
Omega Prime would be an incredible Haslab if done right. I own both RID Optimus Prime and Magnus, but I know getting them these days is rather difficult

Liokaiser would be super cool and fit the Victory theme and we really need an update cause even 3rd party has 2 picks something 5+ years old and something that’s starting to release The 40th is gonna probably be something fans have wanted for a while or a very big name character that benefits a Haslab. Combiner wise devastator would be a nice update, predaking I think his copyright name renewal is coming up but kinda think they could reissue the POTP set it’s not a bad set, after that I don’t think there’d be any other combiner due to the 5 bot ones will probably be legacy releases The omega sized could be a clue to a character but what if it’s the same size as the siege omega supreme like a new metroplex. Animated omega has been wanted for a while so there’s demand and we do have animated legacy BUT idk if there’s big enough demand to fit a Haslab. I doubt it would be primus, unicron was crawling to the finish line they ain’t gonna go through that nightmare again cool yes possible probably not I’m leaning more towards a big G1 named character for the 40th year Haslab, omega Prime is cool but would hasbro do it for the big 40th year Haslab or go with a safe bet of devastator or metroplex
I would love to see Underbase Starscream, will never happen but it would be neat
Some crap I won’t want is my guess. They should do a high end masterpiece to make it worth it. Do a poll on customer choice of figure not released yet.
Ima throw in energon prime in with his omega supreme, the phrases on the post connect more to him
Probably going to be Primus
i hope it's not something i'd be excited for because i just bought $95 worth of lego
I know it's super reaching, but it would be funny if they did a Hablab Sentinel Prime from the Bayverse films.
would love omega prime. but for a out of know where pick giant Cybertron Starscream.
How about a properly scaled Metroplex or Tripticon, scaled to the Legacy Figures and to the G1 animated series
Pipe dream is the “omega” meaning war for Cybertron omega supreme
I just hope it’s obscure like the powered masters
If the new Haslab is Omega Prime i'm gonna be pissed cos i still have my OG ones but they're in a sorry state, so i've been wanting new ones and if this is it i might back the project. Fire Convoy was my first and is my favourite Optimus so he's special to me.
It'll be Primus because Studio Cell just did him.
so heres my guess based on it being a 40th anniversery haslab. so something big that was in season 1. What could that be? Nemissis? No. Ark? No. It is my guess that it is Devastator we havent gotten a really good one yet.
I would be extremely disappointed if the 40th anniversary transformers Haslab ended up being something as pedestrian as a retool/rerelease of a previous Titan. I kinda find it odd that you were okay with Titan Metroplex being repurposed as a Haslab, but shit on the idea of Animated Omega being an Ark remould for the same reason.
Can wait to see what comes hope we get animated omega supreme someday

Hoping it is Energon Omega Supreme, simply bc I feel likes itd be more affordable than Primus
