Turning that gas off must of been a hard choice even though you know nothing is attached a good man will still fear the unknown possibilities. From what I can tell, this was an exceptional crew and because of their skill, coordination, empathy is the only reason no one died during this incident.

The ending of this doc is perfect. If you haven't seen it, i suggest watching it.

It was all Duncans smarts will to live for Chris, and I am positive the prayer didn't hurt either 😉 🙏

@@omnipotentpumpkin9755 that’s great. When you get told you have 3 months to live and there’s no beating your throat cancer, yet you’re still here 7 years later, you start to appreciate god. Science is very real until god takes over! Edit: without extra medical treatment, chemo & radiation then nothing, was told it was 3 months from then but again, now 7 years.

I can't help but question how a crew of sailors can't turn a ship around and power towards the site of the accident without auto pilot.

Well, it wasn’t autopilot. It was dynamic positioning, very different. And the fact that you cannot understand why this was a difficult maneuver is the reason why you are not a professional sailor.

@@johnwalker3986 you mean you didn't understand what I meant by autopilot? I'll put in another term "opposite to manal" and I am a sailor and have been fishing in rough seas and can't understand how it took so long to get back in manual mode. I'd have swam back faster.

@@rneoman youre full of shit bro it wasnt auto pilot it was all powered systems offline hence they kept tryna reboot and had to use the levers instead it isnt your little kayak you cant do a lot with important systems offline
