Man! What an intense ride. Such an amazing documentary. What makes it really great is all of the actual footage. Saturation divers are always recording audio and video because communication is imperative, this leads to a lot of point of view perspectives, which is what creates the intensity. Yes, there are some reenactments, but the actual footage is breathtaking. Can't recommend this enough.

One of the most amazing documentaries I have ever seen. It is so intense and will have you at the edge of your seat. The most amazing thing about it is that most of the filmed material is from the POV of people involved. That is because in their line of work, communication and relevance of where about, is very prevalent, and important to keep the divers safe. So everything is monitored, thus, recorded

If this guy made it or not, my guess as to how anyone could potentially survive in this situation without any long term brain damage with no oxygen for 30 minutes would be the extreme cold. What an amaxing story of survival i never knew how much team work was involved in under the sea jobs. Chris is a very likeable guy with so many hopes and dreams a beautiful fiance. Such sadness he must have felt in the moment before losing consciousness ~if i spelled that right when it comes to life and death situations chris had some very good hearted men that saved his life the guy who gave him cpr what a hero and the guy who went as fast as he could to carry chris to safety. When you face a crisis like this you seperate the men from the boys and i must say that dave yuasa i didnt like his cold hearted attitude he said a few things like when the incident happend is all i could think about was not this chris guy but getting my own self to safety and when he found out chris was alive he said i must say i was mad that he survived because he got himself into the mess. No dude the weather got his lifeline wedged and it broke leaving chris without oxygen. Anyway very good documentary love survival shows.

@@diarmooc2621 I mean, it was in the news and the doc has been out for a long time. But still worth watching, it’s still really fucking stressful even knowing he survived.

Having just read the account of this incredible event in a BBC article, I'm looking forward to seeing the film. It's a testament to the strange and not yet fully understood aspects of our bodies in the most extreme and otherwise incompatible with life, events. Brave are those who fare the seas, braver still are those that dare it's darkest and deepest depths. Both require passion and respect.

That foreign guy who was working the computers for the ship should have been sent to jail. What they never told you in this movie was, he pressed a button that put the system into a shutdown mode. That guy had very little experience on a vessel, and should not have been in charge of the workings of the computer. I hope he never works in this line of work again. Also, the guy that went down with Chris is a coward. He was close to Chris when the chord snapped, and could have easily pulled him back to the divers Bell. Instead he left him there like the gutless wimp that he is. I hope he quit driving after this, and is guilty for being a coward!!!

What if Divers are in the saturation tanks on the ship and there is a emergency, can they open the doors to the saturation tanks quickly? Or are the people inside the tank screwed if the ship is sinking?
