Bruh. Two words for you. Scottie Barnes. Check back in 5 years. I agree though. That 2019 team was special. It had Kawhi at his absolute best version of himself, A Kyle Lowry that had years of Playoff experience and maturity, A two headed beast at the 5 spot and Two young studs in Freddy and Pascal. That team didn't even have OG available and they were electric on defence.

The 2019 Raptors team was insane. Wish Kawhi never left.

We could have easily ran it back. The 2020 teams were so bland, particularly in the east and Lakers weren't even that impressive, Miami didn't even have the playoff experience to get over the hump (minus Jimmy Buckets), just the east was so weak after Kawhi left. Would have been a guaranteed finals appearance if he stayed. With OG back, the team would have been over the top in the NBA finals.

I remember when the Thunder won the 2012 WCF, the atmosphere during the final minute of that game when the fans in the building realized that OKC was in the finals was unreal. Same here, when Kawhi came out with the rebound from Siakam’s missed free throw, the crowd went crazy realizing that it’s actually happened, the Raptors are in the NBA Finals.

man this team was so stacked, there were so many options to get you a bucket, and had an elite defender at each position(with 2 former DPOYs),all of them being above avg-elite shooters aside from Siakam. if kawhi stayed they'd probably have repeated, and continued to be contenders to this day.

Raps 2019 NBA Champs. A team that the city of Toronto will always love and never forget.

Truly elite team. Look at the path they took to win the chip - hardest path in the last 15 years at least. I remember some nephews wanted to put an asterisk on it bc KD was out. So what. They beat the Warriors Big 3, the three guys who made up the best core of this era of basketball even before and after they had KD. They took down the 60-win Bucks who had the MVP and looked invincible on both ends of the court. And the Philly team they beat was probably the scariest of all of them - the best version of the process-era Sixers with an absolutely stacked starting lineup 1 through 5. If you doubt me go look at the paths other championship teams have taken and name one that’s been harder in recent history. Most of the time the path has been made a lot easier through upsets and opposing stars being out with season ending injuries. The Raptors faced three elite teams, and they went toe to toe with them, and they beat all of them.

This was only 2years ago but Gasol this year for the Lakers was so different from how he's playing at this season.

I remember as a Bucks fan feeling truly devastated when they lost the ‘19 ECF. At the time, I thought that was the closest I would ever see them get to a title. 2 years later, they finally cast aside those demons and won their long-awaited 2nd title in franchise history. One of the only times I cried tears of joy watching sports. However, that ‘19 ECF loss humbled the Bucks, because when Phoenix was up 2-0 in the Finals- they made the same mistake the Bucks made: they became full of themselves and felt like they were already looking at a title when the fight wasn’t over yet. That’s what helped Milwaukee in the long run.

Seeing Kyle scoop up his boys immediately after the game made me well up. He was so excited to make it to the Finals, and he was so ready to share that moment with his kids. He's more than a great athlete and sportsman, he's a wonderful father and a great man. That championship was so deserved, and it couldn't have gone to a greater guy.

he's literally the same player. nothing changed. last year he was lucky the teams he faced got inured. if kawhi never injured his knee the clippers are in the finals and kawhi would do horrible things to giannis again.

I loved this raptors team and I’m a clippers fan. I didn’t expect things to go in the direction it did for this series or even the entire playoffs but regardless it was well deserved. And they had one hell of a defense. As great as this was what stands out to me the most is how polished Giannis overall game has become since then.

The Greek freak reminds me of Dwight. Don't get injured pls. Cause that back injury is deadly. Lakers should have never let go of Dwight. Milwaukee is gonna have a good run.

No, this bucks team defense is too elite for the clippers who rely on kawhi and of a lot with no true PG, maybe the lakers even so Milwaukee would of been tough for them with all that length and perimeter defense.

Back watching this in 2022. I'm impressed by the respect these 2 teams had for each other. Happy my Bucks finally got their title. It also makes me wonder if Toronto could have repeated in the bubble if KL stayed put. They had a solid team.

bismack biyombo is in the crowd celebrating the raptors win in the crowd at 5:46. he really loved toronto and we love him too. he was a big part of their playoff run in 2015-2016. toronto athletes are beloved here so they always come back to support the team. they all have nothing but great things to say about the city, organization and fans.

Notice how Giannis showed sportsmanship after losing, unlike Cp3.
