I am considering PRK eye procedure and I have read that Bowman's layer is removed during the procedure. What about LASEK, is Bowman's layer removed as well. Is there any drawback of removing Bowman's layer in a long run.

my doctor said I did you PRK, but I think he did "LASEK" and my other doctor saw a flap in both eyes, how can I know which surgery he did?

Generally, accutane (for acne) and amiodarone (for arrythmias) are contraindiated with laser vision correction. Also, medications in the tryptan family for migraines may be contraindicated, but these are less absolute. Surgeons regularly give xanax type medications to help patients relax before and during the procedure. Thanks for the question!

Isaac Porter, MD thanx Dr,i had trans PRK last week,becouse i worried about lasik flap complications.now i am taking corticosteroid eye drops and vitamin C+vitamin A. and tramadol did help with post operative discomford.little bit.
