She doesn't talk about any side effects. How's her vision in dim light? What does she see at night? Can she drive at night? Vision isn't only about 20/20. Quality of vision is more important.

@@JMyungKun the doctor didn't tell me any such thing. They(3 different doctors considering my high number) did check my eyes a lot before surgery. I had a Galilei scan done to check for cornea health and it was deemed OK for surgery

Basically she still have -10 myopia. Because the lens still fat and they change how light going to your light by peef off the cornea so the light spot on right to your retina. Is mean the cornea get more slim and the lens still fat - still nearsightedness. But the cornea being slim so the light can hit on the retina so we thougt we have good vision

Yes the eyeball stays the same with lasik and it will again grow longer and the eyes will get worse. Only reduced lens method is the only solution. Do not do the same mistake to choose again a quick solution. Starting wearing glasses was the first quick solution which was a mistake. Now people choose the right option. Do reduced lens method. It is slow but ok, better than make a whole bigger mistake with lasik. Wearing glasses is not so bad. You can reverse it over time. After lasik can not reverse and your eyes will get worse. And what will you do then? Again and again lasik until your eyes are conpletely useless, I guess...

My vision is -5,But I always wanted to see the world without glasses so Im going to do lasik when i reach the appropriate Age and I hope I can see the world without glasses.

People better do reduced lens method because lasik eyes will become worse again. Reduced lens method is the only natural fix. It takes some time, 4 months for 0.25 diopters back, but after 3-5 years your life will be already a whole better one and no side effects and no other new risks.

Do not do lasik. It will screw the eyes forever, irreversible. Instead do reduced lens method. Myopia can be reversed again. But lasik even kills that option. Eyes will still get worse after lasik because as long as you have stronger lenses than you need your eyes will elongate to compensate the strong lenses. Lasik eyes are like very strong lenses. Of course the eyes will get worse. Do reduced lens method. Stop doing more mistakes. 1 mistake was starting wearing glasses. But its ok. We all fall into optometry trap. But it can be reversed with reduced lens method and then the mistake is gone. But after lasik there is no way back and it will not be the final solution. The risks can screw your life much more than the little wearing glasses problem. Switch from computer screen to TV in 3meter distance and use the right lenses and your eyes will automatically improve.

@Ahmad Awad your eyes never heal perfectly, you end up with light halos at night making night driving extremely uncomfortabe, always dry eyes and a need for eye drops, high risk for cataracts and the surgery can be a bust due to lasik complications. avoid the surgery if you value your eyes

@Ahmad Awad take vitamins, get more rest and relax, get transitions and preventia on your lens ... eventually when you get older, your prescription just stops and its normal. if you eyes continue to require stronger prescriptions then your eye doctor is a quack, check another doctor (a reputable one) and have them do a proper prescription
