What are they talking about? And are they asking the government to allow them to be trading on railway tracks? It is sad that it is only in Nigeria that people seeks support and sympathy for knowingly breaking the law.

These same people would be admiring other developed countries with cleaned environments and infrastructures. Development comes with inconveniences. It is either you are ready for development or continue to live in shanties. The best solution is to relocate all the market away from the train stations and barricade the railtracks.

What the Lagos State government is doing, clearing illegal trading/markets is commendable. However, this operation is like a dog chasing its tail. You clear one area, the people will set up shop somewhere else. A new modern market city cut from a forest, the size of the national theater land, or larger, is needed for Lagos. You need more than one market city in Lagos. Afterward, the Lagos State government should immediately ban street trading, which will help the smooth flow of vehicle traffic.

In jurisprudence, there is a concept called "surpluserge". This is a useless law which you cannot😮 enforce because, it has multiple redundant parts and other parts that invalidate the redundancy. It is bull shit law. Everything in Nigeria is turning into bs. These traders are suffering with out recourse or recompense to the demolotion of their items of commerce. Most of the seized properties, will end in the wrong hands. The country is not structured for organised commerce. You do not have roads, electricity and all other support modalities. Nigeria is a feaking mess. If you want to do a clean up, start with the net work of open, smelly gutters criss-crossing the land .
