If you want to doubt it,make out time to visit our brothers and sisters there, it will shock you. I want to believe that other good Nigerians are making it work out with the government too.

Most people who criticises DCP lizzy. Some people cannot manage this kind of facilities effectively. she tried. But the judiciary is the problem. too slow to decides faith of cases. another is the police, they arrest citizens anyhow without no evidence or cases that are suppose to be settled amicably , will be finetone to the court. federal government should appoint more judges to ease to prisons congestion.

I want to believe that this documentary was staged, I believe the new bedshits were laid and other things were put in place because of this documentary/visit of the DCP, similar to what happens in our general hospitals. I witnessed one day that the first lady of Lagos State was to visit a general hospital, the nurses and other staff of the hospital rushed to spread brand new bedshits, wore the inpatient new gowns and cleaned everywhere. Immediately she left, within 1 hr they removed all the bedshits and gowns, and went back their old ways of lackadaisical attitudes. Who are they fooling? On the second thought, the male prison is nowhere to be compared to this. One thing I believe is that a clean and working system is achievable if our govt will shun corruption and channel the funds allocated to projects rightly.

That is how it's been done, even when i was in prison in Libya anytime the UN or IOM organisation come to check on us, the security there and their boss will quickly arrange our bed clean the floor and also give us new bedsheets just for the UN or IOM to be convinced that we are really been taking good care of.

We build strong people, not strong systems. This is not the image of all our female prisons across the country. Once this so-called mummy leaves Kirikiri female prison, that could the end of that structured environment.
