Hi, with the most powerful laser, you should lower your S Max setting (try 127 instead of 255, for example) - Your laser will only output half of its power for black parts, and the lighter parts of the image will also be more ... light - And you'll get a greyscale ;-)
@brakthehun
2 жыл бұрын
That can help. One issue is that you're not running your laser at half power,, you're running it at half duty (it's switching off and on at high speed) and it can still remove the surface (leaving it a little darker) instead of leaving the surface blackened.

@@brakthehun can you post the wiring diagram for that configuration thanks. I will be using. ORTUR 24V Laser Engraver 2 Pro-S2-LF / (with Air Assist Nozzle) I like that idea so I don't have to buy a whole another piece of equipment just switch between lasers. I would like. to do some cups. but I noticed most of the units that turned the cops do not have a place for coffee mugs with the handle. Can this unit use any Rotary Roller. Do I have to disconnect the cable every time or can I put a Y connector on it with a switch to switch between. The Y acces without disconnecting the cable all the time and causing an issue in the future with that small connector. Is there already a piece that exist or can I create one if you know what the wiring diagram would be that would be excellent thanks. '''in Technology we trust to protect & serve'''

would like to engrave on wooden teaspoons, made of bamboo, the names are 90mm x 10mm and its taking about 25min per spoon, I am lasering the names "Louis & Bianca" in the font Edwardian Script ITC I have 60 spoons to do, what a nightmare. Some suggestion or help would be great.

@@jayspencer270 The save file is in Gcode. You can't live change the gcode. There are overrides in the lower right that you can slightly adjust speed and power with. You won't be able to change things like size or contrast.
with your two lasers mounted side by side, what is the distance from the project where you don't have to reset focal point when switching from one to the other and still be set right. how did you attach them.

when you talk about the white clip skipping over it what is "it"?

It's a part of the image where it is so light that the laser doesn't even fire and it skips over that part as fast as possible to get to a part of the image where it will fire the laser.
This is a GREAT video but one thing is missing... GRBL settings :) That should be also considered here...

@brakthehun

Nope. Most lasers are 1000 max. The board is 8 bit though in most of these lasers,, so digitally,, the max is 255 and the board converts 0-1000 to 0-255 output.

File:open file Then browse to your folder where you keep your images and open one up.
The reason there is no gray scale is because you had the white clip, contrast, and brightness settings up too high. P.s. you should also use a small fan to blow away the smoke, it can fog the lens on your laser with soot.
When you switched to dithering, you didn't switch your M4 back to M3. Like that's what you said earlier.
