My dream retrospective is, after his Superman III redux retrospective, he does fresh looks at the other Christopher Reeve films. Maybe even splits the theatrical and Donner cuts of Superman II. There's a lot of information in that series.

Hackers soundtrack is brilliant

The BBC miniseries of Triffids from the early 80's is phenomenal. Greatly influenced 28 Days Later. The recent Blu-ray looks stunning too.

We all say “I’m done for now” and suddenly more discs come out of the woodwork. Nice job finding Battle of Britain, Lawnmower Man and The Rock Criterion-especially that late release letterbox Lawnmower Man is very tricky to find.

Yeah I remembered that Mary Poppins laserdisc I had it but gave it away after I got the 30th Anniversary laserdisc which fixed the aspect ratio that was 1:66 and was fixed to correct u.s flat at 1:85

I'm mixed about laserdisc. I've spent probably $2000 on them which was way too much for my income. I did really appreciate the quality and loved the extras. I gave away 75% of them but kept the most expensive versions.

If u still buy LD seek out the very expensive version of T2. I used to subscribe to a LD magazine and that won best LD every yr until the mag failed circa 2000

The new 4k blu-ray transfer on total recall is great! T2 always had an ok to terrible transfer, the skynet blu-ray is the best version! The 4K is pretty terrible with heavy DNR! Nice collection!

I have the skynet edition. That number you have to input on the back can be pretty elusive after a few beers.

I'm surprised laser discs aren't worth more they're unique and so damn big.

I think they're just too niche. I would also assume 99.9% of movies available on LD are also available on a superior format nowadays, as opposed to another old media like records where there are a TON of releases not available for streaming

Battle Of Britain desperately needs an HD remaster or restoration, the current Blu-ray is subpar and missing those LaserDisc features.

Late 70’s. It’s analog and can skip like a record if it’s damaged, but it looks like a huge CD

Why do you consider potc dead mans chest dreadfully dull. It is many things, but it is not dull. The kraken is cool, Davy Jones is one of the best villians I've seen on screen, and the plot is well done. Not a very accurate comment if you watch the film.

Oh no, I can't believe Oliver is a zoomer! Cutting off the sides of the image and destroying the creators intent just to fill his telly. Then he complains about pan and scan. I really enjoy your content so I will forgive.

You zoom LD movies are they are non anamorphic so you have to zoom and the aspect ratio is still correct

I couldn't afford the shipping "yer right" so I just took all the good ones and left him with a worthless pile of crap. Dick move.
