Tyson Bagent has one of the quickest releases for a rookie I’ve seen. And he always knows the defense, no issues calling plays at the line and avoiding pressure, good dual threat too. Need to see him uncork it though.

Was this man living under Field's shadow the whole time? If this keeps up, bears could have a strong late-season showing (maybe see 'em get to .500 first?) I just like good football, so when bad teams show improvement, I'm here for it.

Good decision making. If he can't throw down the field he'll get burned later by a competent coach/game-plan. Some real pass protection might help. Hopefully some time on the bench will help Fields study up and work on his reads, it's hard to work on that while also trying to win games.

Bears won clock battle 34 minutes - 25 minutes, meaning the offense was nothing spectacular but instead efficient and grinding out yards + time. Offense committed no turnovers and allowed ZERO sacks. Offense did its part to keep defense off the field and allow them to be rested. JF fanboys will however claim all sorts of other things to defend their anointed one.

The defense didn't get a lot of pressure on Hoyer. Late quarter interceptions when down do not spell a great defensive performance. Bagent did extremely well, but the stars on offense were Forman and Moore. Credit those guys more than the defense.

So basically Fields has better physicals, but has a 64 in awareness... And bagent is a game manager who uses his eyes to trick the defense with an 80 awareness. EDIT: Yes, we have yet to see if he has deep ball power or ball placement, but from what we saw today he makes pretty good throws to the open man, and decent throws on the run. Lets see what he can do the next few weeks.

The real difference maker was Jenkins coming back from injury. Don’t think it’s a coincidence that we average 170+ on the ground with him in and under 100 with him out… even last week when he was playing half the drives you could tell the difference when he was in

With regards to Bagent, while it is still early, talent is talent. Doesn’t matter if you are playing D1 or D3 in college. I think too often too much emphasis is placed on where you went to school, if you were a walk-on versus a blue chip recruit, where you went in the draft or if you were an undrafted free agent. Hope he does well. Actually looks a lot more poised than Fields when you consider Fields has been in the NFL for 3 years and Bagent 3 months…

Yes our young rookie QB played very well, but lets not forget it was a team effort, Jaylon's interceptions / pick 6, Foreman... wow, unbelievable. Moore had some clutch catches and Evans stepped up and had some nice runs. All in all, it was an exciting, fun game to watch! We really needed this! Bear Down

I openly criticized the bears for signing M. Lewis & R. Tonyan. These 2 have been crucial pick ups for the success in the running game.

I say let bagent start again next week and see what he can do with even more reps. He's only going to get better with time. It wasn't a fluke he threw 160 tds in college. Dude can play

The Bears 1st win at home and win on a Sunday since week 3 of last year. They only won one more game the rest of the season (week 7 MNF at New England & week 5’s Thursday game of this season at Washington).
