You might be wondering why she couldn't get help sooner, but these type of man can trap and terrify a woman to death. She was probably very scared he'd kill her daughter too. Please don't blame this mother, she sent the note and wanted help. She and her daughter are probably both suffering from terrible PTSD as well as deep sadness abd depression over the tragic death of her son. These situations can be horrifying and terrifying, if you haven't been in it, try not to judge. It's easy to think what you would've done, but hindsight is always 20/20. Prayers for this mother and her daughter 🙏💖🙏💖🙏 They deserve help, love and support.

A lot of people brush off reporting suspected child abuse or abuse of any kind but I encourage all to always report it, even if you only have the slightest knowledge or smallest suspension. As an abused child myself (sex trafficked from age 6-17) I wished someone would have reported the obvious signs. As an adult now I realize just how many didn't care enough to make a simple phone call. I refuse to be one of those people.

Never let the boyfriend or girlfriend come live with you if you have kids under 18. It's not worth it. Yeah, there are nice people, but that one person, who walks into your life, can take everything away and leave you empty for the rest of your life. Don't get pregnant with people you just met either. No knocked-up business. Get a stable career, work on all your own trauma WITHOUT finding a relationship as a crutch. Read those books, go to therapy, watch videos about the issues you are dealing with online, find support groups but know that people prey on the vulnerable and can befriend you from those support groups or mirror the same trauma as you to get into your life. Psychopaths, sociopaths, and people will personality disorders often mimic your life story (ex. childhood abuse, dysfunctional families, bad parents, rape, bullied etc....) to get unwarranted acceptance from you as you feel this sense of familiarity. It's a ruse; it's fraud. Never divulge your weaknesses to someone you barely know. Unless you have met up at least 100 times (Yes, 100. Isn't your life worth that much vetting?) for a couple hours each time and seen them angry, upset, sad, happy...., met their family and friends often and with much depth of interaction, not just a rush by meeting once to say hi, do not let them know vulnerable things about yourself. Sus out their family and friend too. You don't want evil, volatile people in your circle. Your significant other might be great but has horrible people around him or her. Do not bring them, your significant other and their family or friends, home for dinner unless you have vetted them thoroughly and exhaustively. Remember, 100 in-depth meetings per person first. Do not let them babysit your kids or pets. Do not give them money. Yeah, it's painfully slow and takes a lot of time, but that is what must be done to safeguard yourself. The population as it explodes so does the population of nutty people. You WILL bump into them. Trust is not a greeting. Trust has to be earned. So don't let anyone tell you that you should be more trusting and "open", especially not if you have young kids. Don't let people tell you how to safeguard yourself. Don't let them tell you that you are paranoid or excessive. Often those who want quick access for nefarious reasons will push for getting close too soon, getting into your house too soon, getting your trust without earning it by making empty promises knowing full well they never intend to keep them. Someone might look nice, seems sweet, work for a nonprofit, want to "help" you.......but it is on you to play the CEO and detective for your life. Ted Bundy volunteered at a suicide hotline; animal abusers have been known to be animal rescuers or even those that run the organization; pedophiles have been known to work at amusement parks, schools, and churches. So when you judge a person, you cannot ever use their career or hobbies, you must do the 100 days. Otherwise, keep them as very distant acquaintances. Have few good friends instead of wasting your time making tons of acquaintances. But the reverse is also true. It's better to have more acquaintances than friends, who have access to your life. If you make 2-3 really good friends for the rest of your life, then you are doing it right. Be friends FIRST before getting into a romantic relationship.

There's actually alot of info in this but I don't really think it matters for most of us. Unless you're a mental health professional, you can't help or control it? Of course assuming YOU aren't an abuser yourself, creating a monster who will inflict pain on others. The focus is on victims in part bc we sympathize with them ... It's a dangerous road IMO to try and identify with an abuser which could lead to making excuses for that behavior (oh it's bc his childhood was bad, oh he has a disorder and needs medication, oh theres an addiction issue it's not his fault). If someone offed your child I'm sure you wouldn't care about their back story or brain chemistry. At the end of the day, there's certain rules in society that no one should be able to violate, no matter what. When and if they do, consequences should be severe.

Where was the boy? How long before the note got to school did he die? Jeez. I was in a couple extremely abusive relationships, which always gets me weird looks, but surprise surprise men can be abused. I cannot emphasise enough how huge of a red flag it is when someone starts isolating you. See your mom less? Stop going out on weekends? Quit that job, find something closer to home? Don’t use X social media, you’ve already got Y and Z? RUN RUN RUN DON’T LOOK BACK. I'm still confused about this horrible story. The lawsuit says months before her son was killed by her boyfriend she feared for her and her daughter's lives and that he separated her and her daughter. So was she locked up in the home and held against her will? Why did she only fear for her life and her daughter's? Why is there no mention of fearing for her son's life months before he was killed? The fact that her lawsuit mentions her boyfriend misrepresented himself as someone who would take care of her son is ridiculous, it was her responsibility to protect her babies regardless of what some man tells her. I'm sorry but something is missing in this story.
