Now i think what would make more sense is that he has that many jobs for the fact that he can do so many things. Probably he couldn't find anything he actually likes to do sinse he can do so many things, and just accepted any job that came in his way cause he can do literally anything.

Um Ahctually 🤓they're technically not antagonists since they're the primary protagonists and antagonists work against the protagonists, which Larry is not, so they're just bad ppl in that episode.

@@zadock6370 Mostly some of the animation styles. At the beginning of this video where it's earlier in the series Larry has more of a cardboard look to him and overall the colours on him look darker and dingier than in later seasons, this also applies to the lighting in the world, being a lot less dreary looking even when it's sunny. This also goes for the general tone of a couple episodes like the one where Gumball and Darwin are stuck in the woods on the field trip, it's got more of a creepy, disturbing feel than the later episodes' more just wacky and comedic feel. Of course all of this is personal opinion.

Richard and Allan, too. If Allan quits volunteering for things, animals and old people turn savage, holes will appear in the ozone layer, graffiti will cover everything to the point of not being able to see anything, the world loses all color, and there are constant rainstorms. Some things just aren’t meant to be, this is the case for Richard getting a job. If he gets a job, reality begins to fall apart at an exponential rate. Peace and balance in this world may rest solely on Larry, Allan, and Richard.

Mr. Small has enough moments where he screws things up or messes things up for others that I don't feel bad for him, unlike Larry. Basically every time he "helps" Gumball and Darwin it goes horribly wrong, and usually he doesn't face any consequences- for example, causing medical issues with his "medicine" forcing darwin and gumball to see a backalley doctor, casually mentioning that that happens every time he tries, the 3 episodes where he gets the guys to wreak havok following his teachings Only one of which sees him getting any consequences in the form of getting trapped in his filing cabinet after tramatizing the boys into not talking, so they can't explain what happened. Mr. Smalls causes plenty of problems and only occasionally faces concequences, he is just usually trying to help, he just is in denial about either how little help he provides, or the actually concequences of his actions.

@@timothycarney9652 Not only that, they constantly ruin his love life, at least 3 times Larry has tried to marry his Girlfriend, but Gumball and Darwin, or the worlds weirdness (Sarah in the episode 'The Shippening') constantly get in his way, over and over. Literally he almost got forced to marry Mr. Small because Sarah was shipping random people.

As kids, we laughed at Larry’s misfortune. As adults, we cry and sympathize with Larry’s misfortune.

As a kid I always felt bad for larry, but really taking a step back and really LOOKING at his character, yeah, he really is the saddest character that you could probably find in kids tv. All tv maybe. Its insane what he has to go through for the sake of the town, he also is a genius which sucks because it had to go to waste through lame jobs in all of the town.

To be fair Larry doesn't have to LIVE with Richard, Gumball and Darwin, and the chaos they cause, he is just a frequent victim. Nicole has a rough single Job, and wrangling her family. She gets time to sleep but its still very hard, remember when she has a DBZ style fight with an old rival, she reveals that wrangling her family was more than equivalent to the years of training her rival did to prep for the fight. Larry still has it worse but it is a different sort of difficulty.

@@timothycarney9652 based off that, I really want to see a fight between Larry and Nicole. Obviously Nicole won, but I feel like her childhood being trained and pressured make any difficult moments in her life becomes a sort of training for her, sort of like grinding in game when simple task also gives you xp. Larry don't know how to turn his hardship into power, but if he did, it would certainly be interesting seeing these two gods fight.

Why is he working at the job? So many, sad, terrible reasons…

Tbh I feel bad for him sometimes and the fact that every time he trys to propose to his gf he gets stopped in every way

Larry doesn’t realize he can just blackmail the whole town for the best jobs or job because if he quits the whole town would fall apart again

There are characters that go through a lot of trauma and probably more suffering than Larry in animation, but it's the fact that he is sad in the realest and most mundane way that makes him that much more relatable.

0:55 Knowing that larry works in more than 30 jobs (I don't remember exactly how many lol) that he has been fired from one seems more of a relief for him..

Larry is my favorite character in all of The Amazing World of Gumball. He’s so under appreciated by the townspeople and he’s just so fun to watch

Larry probably had the best reason to become the villain but being evil doesn’t pay

All work and no play makes Larry a dull boy, all work and no play makes Larry a mere toy.

Larry does seem like he has an education in like math or physics or something like that. I feel real bad for him.

When you think about, everyone is a Larry in real life, no matter what they and the situation. They always have to put up with something in their life. Also, is it bad I loved Larry at 11:42? The goth one got me.

That first clip is heartbreaking. On one hand, Larry's happy that gumball and Darwin remembered what he taught them, but you can see him slowly realize how sad his life is after they leave, the little that he's achieved in life finally clicks with him after the people he'd expect not to notice points it out (or maybe not I don't know the full context of the scene so just take this comment with a grain of salt lol)

I feel this is one of those characters we should really start paying attention to, cause you don't know if he could just all of a sudden have a mental breakdown. I'm really starting to get concerned about his mentality. Who agrees?

I wanted to give this poor dude a hug when he quit working for Elmore since he wasn't being given any respect or sympathy when the Wattersons gave him the worst day in history.

Larry is exactly what working in a convenient store actually feels like. I relate to the pain. XD

He's in a pretty bad position. He has tons of jobs and the town relies on him but also kind of abuses him. This guy is going to waste his life if the town doesn't improve. (I never watched the show, so I don't know how it ends.)

The show sort of ended on a cliffhanger. There will (hopefully) be a movie to wrap things up and start a new Gumball series.
