We must vote in the right people who know how to go about trust busting. That is litterally an infringement of the right to privately own assets. Unless you elect Stalin 2.0 it will never happen and it is "technically" not simple, at all. EDIT: Those "small businesses" would in time evolve to become their own financial giants or lose their stocks to the savviest of the businesses. Look what happened when the USSR fell. The poor people who got stocks in the steel industry, oil industry etc. either sold their stocks or were coerced to sell them and what did that create? Oligarchs.

Except that Blackrock intentionally tries to remain in the background, in the shadows, and has successfully done so for decades, whereas Bud Light has to be out there actively marketing itself constantly straight to the public's face. Blackrock also operates in a much more abstract, opaque industry, than does Bud Light, and so, while losing some assets is possible for Blackrock (as has already happened, due to Florida's government, et al), the likelihood it loses any more than 10% of its AUM is unlikely. Even if it lost up to 30% it would still be managing $14 TRILLION in assets. I've worked in this industry. There's really no need to have asset managers that big. You could totally cap off AUM at 1% that size ($200 Billion), and have little to no negative effect on the functioning of the financial system.

The problem is two-fold. The CEO is so rich and powerful but why? He is rich himself, of course, but Blackrock's portfolio and liquidity is what gives the CEO the real power. If Larry Fink had a Bud Light moment he would be replaced and Blackrock would still hold the same stocks and liquidity and therefore the new CEO would become a "new" Larry Fink. In short the problem is how much Blackrock owns, not who captains it at the moment.

FYI, I never wished death on anyone. They taged every local media outlet and the governors office, mayors office and the county executive.
