I think Larry is a great guy who has seen the tech industry transition for almost half a century(while he is actively involved in it), and his articulation of issues facing it, though not as charismatic as his long time friend Steve Jobs, is quite well-reasoned and accurate.

It was set in 2012... He kept mentioning Jobs because... well... he HAD been alive, hadn't he? For example - that time he mentions meeting Obama with Jobs; quite obvious the meeting took place somewhere 'tween 2009-2011.
