This must be the inspiration for the Curb Your Enthusiasm episode with Lauren Graham (from Gilmore Girls). Her character is a censor. When they go on a date, she starts talking about her job Larry gets a little excited.

I’m in the middle of a Larry David KZread binge, and coming across this video in comparison to newer interviews shows just how far both LD and Conan have evolved. This is still funny, but in the newer ones both guys are so much more comfortable and natural with their delivery, as well as at transitioning through the conversation. I think I noticed it with Conan more over the years, but this is a really show of Larry becoming an even better interviewee over time.

I feel like curb didn’t really catch on until sometime during its hiatus when it was off the air from like 2011 - 2017. I can remember always seeing memes and small clips about it during that time being spread around on social media and reddit. Then I finally got around to watching it all for the first time back in 2014. Easily one of the funniest shows ever made, to me it eclipses Seinfeld.

Almost 25 years later and Larry looks pretty much the same. I think he was actually born being an elderly dude

As a big fan of both these guys, I’d love to Conan on Curb it kinda works as cause Larry tends to get annoyed with Conan’s flamboyance. I could see a great episode where they are beefing some how 😂

Phil Silvers as Sgt.Bilko in The Phil Silvers Show that ran from the mid to late 1950s and predated Larry as the bald star of a half hour sitcom. Silvers was a tremendous character actor and the show was funny and had a great ensemble cast. Curb’s my fave comedy of all time but Sgt. Bilko is easily one of my all time faves as well. Pretty certain I heard “Lar” mention sometime before his fondness for “Bilko” and the Silvers show.

Larry David is like the Dave Grohl of comedy. He was on one of the most influential, successful projects in the 90s and then he goes out on his own later and has another iconic project. In my opinion, Curb is even better because it’s just Larry with none of Jerry Seinfeld’s arrogance.
This was 25 years ago, and he looks exactly the same
Obscene wealth is the best revenge for being unattractive and having crippling insecurity.
Great team, would have made a great movie together as either detectives or criminals.

Not only Hair guys, but women dont respect guys that have hair loss either. Isnt Chemo great for killing confidence. Props to Larry for the way he accepts his hair or lack of it. Wish I could say the same.
I have a good feeling about his show. It will probably do ok.

The way Larry David always looked like a 70 year old guy, yet always talked about "dating" and sexual stuff as normal and only since a couple of years about him "getting old" and others perceiving it... (There might literally be a video from just 2018 or so where he talks about people starting to look at him as an old and not super-sexual guy...)
