This was a really excellently done review, dude. It's my first time discovering your channel, saw there were 6 comments and 1k views, thought maybe the video was new, but it's a month old. You did a great job reviewing, you covered all the components well, talked about the pros and cons, talked about how it could be improved, and still did a great job of showing how this bike shines, without exaggerating. I'm convinced this is the perfect e-bike for someone that wants an all-rounder, for under 2k that does mostly street riding but still wants to be ready for anything, because the whole point of an e-bike is the freedom to go anywhere, and what good is that freedom without the capacity to exercise it? A 24x4-inch tire takes the streets way better than a 27x2.5 inch offroad tire, and also better than the 26x4 offroad tires, and it's still able to handle offroad, unlike 20x4 tires which are far suboptimal for it. I was actually wanting to make my next bike a 24x4 rear and 26x3 front, so this is really close to that. And I wanted rear suspension, which is a rare feature in e-bikes, other than the ones that look too much like motorcycles. 1200W power is also the perfect amount for riders wanting to go 28 mph on smooth flat roads, just like the law allows for, and sustained 28 mph is still better than riding a street bike with bursts of 30 but 15-18 averages. I've already got a Heybike Race Max for $600 last year, I've put 2000 miles on it, and I'm really happy with it. I'd like to go faster, but for the price, 21.5 mph on smooth flats at full charge with no pedaling effort as a 210 lb rider with cargo, is pretty good. And it's a lot of fun to ride, it really feels so much like a very good, yet very normal, bike. So I think they'd do a good job on this one, too, and the 24x4 inch tires are great, that's what I'm looking for, but if I'm going to spend $1500-2000 on an e-bike, there are several in that range that I've already got my eyes on, with more speed and bigger batteries, which is just the most important factor, at least until it's enough to be safe on the road. My main complaint about this e-bike is the battery. E-bike batteries need to be larger than they are currently. You can take the battery out and put it in a backpack or something when you carry the bike, to make handling the bike easier, so battery weight isn't really an issue. 14.4 Ah is basically the absolute bare minimum for a bike with 1200W Peak. 48V 14.4 Ah might sound generous compared to 36V 10Ah, but going full power the whole time, you could use the whole battery and still not quite get 20 miles, on flat roads. A 20 Ah battery would be good. (I would want even more). 17.5 Ah would still work. Anything under 16Ah is really low for a bike this powerful. Anything under 15Ah is extremely short range for a 750W+ ebike. People who are going 15 or less miles round trip including play, or people that are not going full speed, will be okay with 14.4 Ah, but for a bike optimized so well to be able to ride it through the city, off the roads, and out offroading, it kind of dropped the ball on battery capacity. It's a $2k bike on sale for $1500, kicking the battery from 14.4 Ah up to 17.5 Ah would have cost them like $20-40 extra per unit and it would have helped its range while still being able to fit in the frame without requiring a lot more space. E-bike companies are being way too cautious with battery sizes, I'm glad to see the general trend is upwards but at this rate it's still going to be years before 20Ah is the standard and 30+ is on e-bikes that aren't shaped like motorcycles.

You can replace a shock on any bike. You just need a stroke length and bushings.

These would be great to take on vacations. E bike rentals are ridiculously expensive. Just fold these up, throw them in the back of an SUV and take off!

I know. But if you’re descending down heels off road you can grt bucked off. This is why I mentioned that a dropper post would be really useful.

There is a spot in the video where you can read "180mm" on the brake rotor and you say later it is 160mm. The quality of the focus is so bad, and the camera man technique is "cool flight" skip-over style, that you can't be sure if it really says 180mm. I am a bit peaved, I fight and fight to gather the true facts on all kinds of bike and the vid producers are formulaic just to appear cool. This style fails on SO MANY POINTS (you did a fairly good vid). For Horizon, I want BMX handlebars (still exists?), alloy spokes, availability of replacement brake pads, adjustable air-shocks, and a shock-seat post. You need extra battery for range. 203mm or 315mm discs is important, I say. How good is service from Heybike company? So many bikes get bad review for the service. This is a sick reality and I hesitate to buy an e-bike.

Who in the rightmind would compare this to a bicycle. Its a motorcycle, nothing else. they just switched out the engine to an electric one. there had benn foldable motorcycle before. its with so much vehicles. someone slams a batterie on people lose their minds as if someone has invented the wheel. If you want get into biking, buy a bicycle. if you want an a electrical aqivalent to a 50 cm³ small moped, here you go.

Definitely on the street you are right. In the off-road peddling is much more of a necessity where it still feels like a bicycle to some extent. And even on the street, the pedal assist will help you get a work out in the process of transit. It also cannot go anywhere near as fast as a moped.
