Thank you this was the first video I saw and it was very helpful. I have a big wolf 🐺 I want to install on the hood of my Kia Sportage but it's big and didn't want to mess it up.

Perfectly done thank you for showing that hinge method I will be using that now when I install my larger vinyl pieces it definitely takes a lot of headache out of installing and peeling one side to the other side trying to line up your edges

OK NOW AFTER WATCHING THE 5TH VIDEO BEING THIS ONE :) I now think he has shown me the right correct and easiest one as a newbie to get my Skulls for my Ghost hunting team onto my Kia Soul :) praying I did learn skills for this kick ass installer :) LOL I will let you all know if I followed his instruction correctly :)

I know it will depend on the type of car but as an average how long will the vinyl deca will last before the internal heat of the hood caused by the motor going to affect the black color of the decal, also will damage the paint, i have seem some black decals turning brown and beging to peel out from the corners.

Honestly, there are so many variables it's a tough question to answer. The heat from the engine is one thing, but the other question is, how, much sun exposure does your vehicle get, is it kept in a garage or always outside? Weather exposure plays a significant roll in how long a decal will last on your vehicle. It also depends on what grade of vinyl is used, there are many different qualities of vinyl that are made for different applications. A standard calendar sign grade vinyl is supposed to be good 3-5 years outdoors. A high performance grade vinyl can have an outdoor life up to 7 years. But weather is a huge factor, for example, one time I made a sign for a client, one side faced south, the other side faced north. The heat from the light bulbs in side the sign and the direct sunlight everyday from southern exposure burned the vinyl after 1 year, but the North facing side looked like it was brand new. Vinyl does not damage paint unless it's a really bad paint job... but for example on a vehicle what can happen is the paint around the decal may sun fade, there fore when you remove the decal the paint under the decal looks better than the paint that was around it, example, you see this a lot with RV's and Camper Trailers. Lots to consider, hope that helps.

@@MileHighCampers thanks a lot for your response, very complete, im planning to install some decals in my car this week, it will be one big at the hood and some big strip lines at both sides, for sure i know thaf the ones at sides will last longer. I live in a hot city, the sun here does have an impact, in summer as it reaches the 50F, my car is 50- 50% of the time exposed to the sun. I will tell the seller to provide a better quality material so it can last at least 3 years. Thanks again for your response.

A higher quality can get pricey so don't be too surprised if the price from the seller needs to increase the price based on the type of vinyl. Good luck I hope it turns out great and thanks for watching!

Will the decal say on bedliner?

I would say no, unless maybe you had a rubber bed liner but in all honesty vinyl sticks best to smooth high gloss surfaces.

can u clearcoat over these?.

I personally would NOT recommend doing it because it makes it permanent, however, technically yes you can clear coat over vinyl.

Them pressure washers screw up paint great video

My local supplier sells Aspire Transfer Mask.

DONT EVER USE PAPER TOWELS ON A PAINT FINISH AND MAKE SURE YOU USE A PADDED SQUEGEE OR PAD A CREDIT CARD WITH FELT WOW YOU ARE FOR SURE AN AMATURE AND NOT BE GIVING PEOPLE WRONG METHODS LIKE THIS
