That’s amazing! It was even less because you didn’t pay for all that frozen stuff. I’ve definitely been trying to emulate the “stock up when it’s super cheap” mentality, but I have to learn to shop my pantry/freezer better like you do. Your family eats fantastic, healthy food and you pay *well* below the National average, even for low income standards. Goals for sure.

Non-Europeans, please don't think everyone lives like the person above me. There's like a really specific brand of Europeans who love going onto videos to dunk on Americans, and it's tired. I'm in Europe too and the people I know eat a LOT of meat, bread, and milk products like cheese and yoghurt. There's the occasional flexitarian family who don't eat as much meat, but they are not the norm. We eat plenty of snacks, and we love fast food. It might be true we eat more vegetables and fruits, but I don't think it should be ignored how much cheaper and more accessible vegetables are in Europe. I'm always shocked by the prices of vegetables and fruit in American grocery hauls.

Manager special, discount/closeout specials, day old bread, coupons, reward cards, off brand, all fantastic ways to save some funds especially for a large family. Most farmers markets an grocery stores offer some type of reduced/last minute deals on items they can not sell after date. Does not mean that they are bad! Only means they can not be sold legally. Fresh fruit/veggies an meats can also be on reduced or manager special, majority of the produce is just fine minus some blemishes, however as with anything in both produce an meat use best judgement. Never be ashamed to use a food pantry or food giveaway close to you. They are there to help for a reason. Be safe y'all, God bless!💜🙏💜

With these uncertain times, making us all feel the 'what if' anxiety, I'm struggling with not over-shopping/stocking. I only have a side/side fridge and a 7cu-ft freezer. There are only three of us, so I shouldn't be spending more than $300/mo, plus pet food, etc. but I always seems to spend closer to $600,. sometimes more - even with the fridge/freezers/pantry stuffed full. Every time I use a pkg of chicken, etc. I find myself thinking, "What if I suddenly can't get any more next week???" Ugh.

I’m curious about how much you budget/spend on average per month on household items. I include household items (TP, soap, dog food, paper towels, trash bags, detergent, etc) in my grocery budget. Primarily because a lot of those items come from the same stores where I buy groceries, and I’m trying to keep my budget line items a little simpler. But if you asked me what I spend to “feed my family”, I wouldn’t really know..

I so agree on the awesomeness of the Walmart grocery delivery program. I have been a W+member since last November and it's great. Not only does it save you time but it also saves you from impulse shopping when you are in the store which at Walmart can be significant. It is dangerous to wander over into the cosmetics, toiletries, kitchenware, etc departments when there in person so the delivery and pick up service really saves you money. I'm disabled and don't drive. Although I have amazing wonderful neighbors who previously did my grocery shopping for me every week before there were so many readily available delivery services in my area, this is something that I can control and have delivered when I want it and I don't have to bother them. I think I paid $98 for the year but I got 6 months free so I got a year and a half for $98 which is not a bad deal in my mind. It also gives me free delivery from shipped items as well which for me again being disabled, I rely on delivery of many or rather most of the items I buy.

Put the avocados in a brown paper bag and close it up. They will ripen within about 24 to 36 hours

7:32 those are my favorite fig bars. I can’t imagine someone returning them because they didn’t like them. Score for you

OH snap!!! I wish I'd realized Quaker protein granola cereal was on Ibotta, darrrrn it!!! You are right - it's the best granola on the market for the price range - especially when our local uber $$ grocery store has it on BOGO!!

That is key, to use-up and re-stock... I love saving on food eating good and what we like at home, so we can enjoy going out to eat once a week to a nice restaurant.😉😋

Neat, I'm a Wal-Mart Delivery driver. I'm glad you like it. A good tip, goes a long way, right? :) I use Amazon fresh sometimes, it great, the Savings for online orders and avoiding impulse purchases worth it. :)

Firstly, in Australia when you buy chicken from the deli no packaging it's a lot cheaper !!! $75 is a lot for that ! I would get it way less at aldi! I don't have kids but family who do and health authorities here advise no chocolate sweet cereals or those with honey. Child health experts say unsweetened oatmeal , fruit, and eggs are best to start the day. Many of those sugar cereals have more than 7g sugar per 100g. That's a lot for a kid ! Equivalent to three cookies for breakfast
