Not as luxurieus as other places you have been, but it must have been one of the most beautiful places! Man what a view! And also the nature is why you go to Costa Rica in my opinion!

Some beautiful shots off the balconies and the view from your room jungle across water and then land. i can only imagine a couple of weeks armed with a few good books it would be a terrific tonic. You captured the sounds and that waking scene with the curtains and then the sunrise very magical.

Loved the night time nature walk! This was a fun change from the 6star - exclusive luxury resort videos that I usually gravitate to.

I LOVE this place because it truly seems like your villa is in a far far away place with no one else around! Yet you have all the creature comforts at your hand - This is Costa Rican travel at its BEST. The rainforest & beach are both amazingly secluded...AAAAAAAHHHHHHHH!💚

Wow...amazing lodge...good nature.

One place that I recomend and it's on My favorites here in Costa Rica is Monteverde. It has a lot of Nature reserves to walk ando the weather there is rainy and it's like a highland forest. There's no resorts but boutique hoteles and there awesome. The Town in that área is called Santa Elena. Santa Elena is small and relax, not to crawded, there a lot of cafes. Just giving ideas

Nice, quiet and tranquil .... I would put more loungers on the beach for sunning, reading, just relaxing ...or even writing poetry! Didn't care for the bathroom much ( or at all, really ). The view was really nice! Food looked good ... 🙂. Spa looked sparse. No offense, dear LTE, but, I didn't feel it was very luxurious ... However. I must say, the two children are perhaps getting the best education in the world!! Money shot of the day was from behind the wisteria by the pool! 👍!! Beautiful! ( oh! and fun to see you back in the pool for video from there !! )😀 Cheers!

Very beautiful.....you put my wife off going there by mentioning snakes, the main reason she is apprehensive of going to Australia to see her sister. I was very impressed with how your children got on with surfing, and the look on their faces😊😊.

Stayed at Lapa Rios in 2006 when it was still owned by Karen & John Lewis the original owners and builders of the resort. It was amazing. I remember feeling that when I was there that the earth doesn't just belong to people but it belongs to all the creatures that live on it too. Food and staff was great!

This resort looks very similar to the hotel where I have stayed. Near Tamarindo. The amenities are the same. I saw monkees and exotic birds right from the pool deck! I'm a surfer. I've been to CR on surfing trips.🤙

Looks like a LONG walk from the pavilion to the rooms! Any buggies available for transport to/from the main lodge area? PS: Never mind. I saw your note a few minutes later in the video showing the shuttle van that took you to breakfast! That saves one from walking up/down all those steps!!! 🙄

As a tour guide here in Costa Rica, can tell you, there are so many beautiful places to enjoy and stay in this peaceful country, Lapa Rios is located in an spectacular area of the world in terms of biodiversity but there are other amazing lodges to stay better that Lapa Rios, like La Paloma Lodge, Casa Corcovado, Copa de Arbol or Luna Lodge.

The surfing is fun.....IF you can surf.
