Vang Vieng is a small town in Laos located in the province of Vientiane, nestled on the Nam Song River between large karst cliffs and vibrant green rice fields in the background.
Thanks to the rapid increase in tourists, Vang Vieng has quickly gone from being a sleepy village in the late 1990s to one of the wildest destinations in Southeast Asia.
It has in fact become an adventure destination, where the main activities are cave exploration, paragliding, kayaking, rock climbing and much, much more.
