now here's a thought. Why does Lanzhu speak snippets of Mandarin if she's from Hong Kong? Hong Kong's main language is Cantonese

Well, in recent years there are increasing numbers of mainland chinese kids come to Hong Kong, increasing trend of both parents from mainland China or either one being mainland Chinese, which does spark controversies in Hong Kong. Well from a commercial perspective, lovelive introduces foreigners and it mainly chooses popular languages like Mandarin and English, would not be a good idea to integrate rare unknown languages only few speakers around the world. Unfortunately there are not many Cantonese speakers around the world 😥 (I am a Hong Kong Cantonese local citizen tho)

@@IronKurone yeah, fortunately her Cantonese accent quite hongkong-ish, glad that she occasionally speaks Cantonese (decent level) although mainly speaks Mandarin and Japanese
