Boredom counters are such a great mechanic. From a gameplay perspective it's just conceding, but it's so much more flavorful

It's nice to come back to the older videos and know that Thoralf has always been a menace.

Lantern was my first Modern love. glad to see it here.

Lantern Control is claaaassic. One of my favorite deck archetypes.

Y’all’s recent video about bad cards turned good got me curious about this video. Really cool seeing how much this channel has changed over the years and seeing Thoralf becoming a regular.

I've played Lantern Control since before the Twin ban. It's nice to see it get some love in mainstream Magic media! Also boredom counters are amazing. I kinda want to steal this idea.

Jamin could've used Ice in Thoralf's Upkeep multiple times to prevent a play (18:55 would have prevented the contstruct for example). Great content though, glad to see some Paper Magic!

I’m going back and watching more of these, commenting and liking so you guys never stop. These are so fun to watch and I hope you can more pros in

Jamin could have blown up a saga with the force of vigors, that could have saved a bunch of damage potentially. Great video though, I enjoyed watching lantern immensely lol. Edit: also would have put Toffel back a mana and with no way to get a lantern or shredder effect, which would have really swung the game in Jamin’s favor

Really love these videos. it seems to me that you forgot the main weakness of Saga though: it's an enchantment. Blowing up that one and an artifact with your forces would have been such a blowout. Also I'd love to see elves or humans some time in the future. Edit: I just saw that somebody else commented this. Sorry to be a wise ass!

He fetched for Steam Vents untapped but didn’t take 2. This would have changed the combat math from playing ensnaring bridge precombat potentially.

Man warching lantern is just as painful as it should be. What an absolute star of a deck and Thoralf's lack of vim in piloting it is ao good lol

As someone who’s had the displeasure of battling one of the best lateen control players in my state(Across the pond from y’all in the US) it’s not fun.

Lantern is such an unfun deck... Brrr.
