Aside that she is Asia's nightingale...She is also known as "New Siren of the Strip." in Las Vegas. Also, the first Asian to headline in a main showroom in Vegas. She's not called a diva for nothing. I recommend to listen to her english revival songs very tastefully done😊

After she won the student pop singing competition in the '80's during her college days, talent manager, ronnie henares handled her professional singing career. That is after regine velasquez left the management of ronnie. After she had established her name in the Phillipine music industry with a monicker "The Asia's Nightingale", Lani moved to the US and spent around 3 or 5 yrs performing in various hotels in las vegas, nevada until she came back to restore her aborted singing career in the country.

Lani has 8 octave range and a coloratura soprano background in singing.Her career started out as minus one tape background voice before joining international singing contest until she was discovered during that time.

She is apparently an opera singer. If you could remember cassette tapes, she used to be a multiplex, she is a chameleon singer also where she imitates singers like celine, whitney and other popular female divas in the 90s. But, as of this day, she still remains a shadow of regine. But they are friends.

She used to sing in the Sin City for sometime before coming back to the Philippines. Celine Dion one time dropped by where she was singing and had all praises for her!

She is basically an operatic/pop singer and she is already based in Las Vegas. She just visits the Philippines from time to time.

She was a multiplex queen (her voice was used for minus ones or multiplexes in karaokes) for some time before she broke into the music industry sometime in the 2000. Her early training came from her father who was a pianist and from her mom who was a trained soprano. In an interview she said that her father exposed her to kundimans (classical Filipino songs) early in her life. That is why she can sing like that. She has one sister who used to sing in a band, and another sister who could play the violin.

I am going to request this one more time..please...since you enjoy great singing and good audio quality so much..i am sure you are going to love lani, regine, and jaya's greatest love of all..the harmony was sometimes off in my opinion since it was not really a well rehearsed number..but their solo parts are reminiscent of talents such as whitney, barbra, aretha, anita baker, etc..they were on that level, if you ask me..

A Nightingale is a queen!

She used to headline shows in Las Vegas

When Lani came out of the scene (quiet late coz I guess she was already past 30 at that time) everybody was going crazy and was divided between Regine and her. They became "rivals" and fan-camps were made: Regine camp vs Lani camp. It was crazy. The fans were ready for the kill anytime. Then Lani decided to try her luck in the US and was successful as the new queen of Las Vegas beating out the likes of Toni Braxton, Elton John, Bette Midler, etc. including Celine Dion for the award as "The Best Singer and Performer of Las Vegas." She was even the main feature for Las Vegas' ad to invite people around the world to go visit the strip. So Regine continued her reign here when Lani was away. But not known to most of their fans, Regine and Lani are really close friends through all these and were probably laughing their way to the bank. 😀
