Regine, Lani and Jaya used to be on a same musical variety show on GMA 7 called SOP for almost a decade, the most popular segment of the show is their Back to Back to Back segment which three of them and other 2 to 3 singers also perform alternately. Regine, Lani and Jaya are the vocal Trinity of the Philippines and reign supreme on every singing realm in Asia. And yes the three of them are all on the same era (Regine around 30 years now singing, Lani around 25 years now singing and Jaya around 20 years now singing)and still reigning! 🤘😎🤘

I was just about to comment this MGN, but he/she already did; soooooo pay attention to this comment over here MGN! This pretty much answers your thoughts or questions. :) "Birit" is a Filipino terminology for belting or hitting high notes! Since this is a "No Birit Challenge", then they really were NOT hitting high notes on purpose, even though the song is meant for belting. HAHAHA! that's why Mori is cheeky and smiling all the time during that performance cuz she obviously wants to belt but she can't, to pass the challenge! HAHAHA!

No one can do 'birit' at all...so both of them have to sing in a lower tone, singing this high tunes really on a different way, without belting it. So funny, they are squirming to sing this difficult songs to a low tone. Really amazing and super-talented artists!

all the songs they are singing are all power songs.. and the challenge is to sing the songs without belting it out.. and we all know that these two are power belters... 👍👍👍 Lani started singing as a multiplex singer.. she started on t.v in the 90's. and she migrated to America and continued her career in Vegas..

It was called "A Lani Morissette Musical Journey" a two night sold out concert. The video you're watching is the secomd night. This was beyond amazing watching it live. People are standing and cheering on the last part of the song. We can't handle ourselves, cause they're soooo incredible!

For them to do those dynamics and regulate the poer of their voice requires a lot, and I mean a lot of strength from their diaphragm..so that No birit(belting) challenge is really a challenge of a different sort for singers who are used to and are normally belting.Also, falsetto is different from dynamics coz falsetto is quite easier and just requires a lot of air..dynamics require a lot of control and strength on the diaphragm...Kudos to Morisette & Lani & Congrats to their concert..The Filipino song they sung is an Aegis song.and Aegis is known for belting so it's quite a challenge to sing that song in dynamics...

Lani Misalucha and Regine Velasquez's career are somewhat in the same generation. Regine started sometime in the mid to late 80's and Lani started around the early 90's i think.

Regine started on TV in the early 80's by joining "Ang Bagong Kampeon" (The New Champion). Lani on the other hand came into the scene in 1993. In 2000, Asia's Nightngale Lani Bayot Misalucha became known as the "New Siren of the Strip" in Las Vegas, USA. Unlike Regine who was a wonderful product of amateur singing contests, Lani came from a musical family. Her father is an operatic tenor and her mother is a coloratura soprano. Lani is classically trained and is lyric coloratura with a vocal range of more than 4 octaves. She does, however has the prowess to venture into a dramatic coloratura soprano. Her sister, May Bayot is also a gifted singer. Lani is 46-years young and is a proud grandmother of four kids.

She just celebrated her 15 years showbiz anniversary.

Its a concert. And this funny part is what they called - NO BELTING (no birit) and they were acting funny because they’re trying and it’s hard for them😂😂

Regine, Lani and Jaya were all in the same show in GMA 7 back in the day (TV network competitor of ABSCBN) Lani went to UK/US (not sure, but in California i believe ) and pursued career in Theater.. Now, Shes back in the Philippines :)
