I can't believe 8 seconds came out so long ago.. As a grown ass man I am proud to say I can't watch that movie without crying.
Great tribute to Lane. My son's just turned 16 and Lane has been his hero since he was about 12. My son is just getting over a bull-riding accident that will take 6 months altogether to get back to "normal". He can't wait to get back on again and ride. You just cannot stop them. He's also just turned 16 and got his learners plates for his motorbike licence, that makes me nervous too! If I had only known how to have a girl and not a boy..... but I wouldn't have it any other way! Love you buddy! RIP Lane. My heart goes out to his Mum & Dad. I'm crying full on as I write this.
My youngest son will turn 13 January 15, 2020. He doesn't know it yet but his Birthday trip will be too Frontier Days this July. He's a HUGE Lane Frost fan, he's watched EVERYTHING on the internet about Lane and worn out the 8 seconds movie 2 times. I can't wait to surprise him!!!!
RIP. Lane Frost, miss that smile.
I’ve loved rodeos since I was a kid and cowboys and horses still do and I’m 77 I tip my hat to all the cowboys
He'll always live forever in me. Always followed him. RESPECT!
One of my all-time favorite bull rider.gone way to young.
Like they say, the greats die young. R.I.P Lane, u will definitely never be forgotten my friend. All the best to his friends and family. 🐂🇺🇲🗽🇺🇲🐂
I love Lane Frost. He was a talented bullrider and the youngest inductee into the Pro Rodeo Cowboy Hall of Fame. After all these years, we still miss you Lane.
My family moved to OKC from Texas when I was 16, my dad was in the feed business and knew most of the stock contractors back then. I met Lane and got to watch him ride several times at the fairgrounds arena and in Guthrie. To this day still the smoothest most natural rider I've ever seen. Also about the friendliest person I ever met.
I knew Lane casually from the rodeo circuit and I was in the wild horse racing finals at Cheyenne Frontier Days and watched Marty Staneart ride him for the first time in over 5 years. I remember thinking , "now I've seen the rodeo!". Two rides later I watched Lane die. When they carried Lane past me I had a flashback to Vietnam and I knew immediately Lane was dead. Lane Frost was one hell of a bull rider and one of the most decent cowboys I've ever known.
Just loved Lane Frost what an amazing cowboy 🤠
We miss you Lane Frost. I know we never got to meet but you are not forgotten. PBR is a sad sport everywhere. -Shane
Rest in Peace, Lane, I am planning on naming my son Lane in your honor and I am hoping that he can be like you and have time for everyone.
He seemed like a heck of a nice guy! What a waste!!!! At least he died while doing something he loved pretty much! RIP Lane, you were fantastic!

WOW, looks like this was posted a long time ago. My cousin and I were at the RENO RODEO,, in like 1986 or 87,,, when LANE FROST was there,, it was a very GREAT TIME,, because we loved him soooo,, much!!!! 🤗🤗🤗!!!!!! I cherish that memory,, soooo, much!!!!
Lane Frost is my mentor and was my dads. He may have passed in July of 89 but he is still in everyone's heart. There has been great bull riders and there still is great ones but in my opinion, Lane Frost was and is the best of the best. He will never soon be forgotten.

Glenn Wolfe because the protective vest wasn't mandatory yet I've taken bad hits like that with my vest and came out fairly alright. He rode with great form and try, conquering many of the greatest bulls and winning many prestigious rodeos including the world championship. He was well liked and recommitted Christian bout 6 months before his tragic accident. A true champ in and out of the arena. The movie 8 seconds is mostly Hollywood b.s. Bull riding is an extremely dangerous sport and each of us accepts the possibility of death and the inevitable injuries that come with the sport. He died doing what he loved. Dying has nothing to do with this man's righteousness and tremendous bull riding skills.

i love lanes frost movie, his is and was the best bull rider in the world.rest in peace lane:)
I GOT TO WATCH HIM AS A KID I STILL MISS HIM RIP LANE
I love PBR, Lane Frost....the best & could have been the best that ever lived.....has anyone ever noticed how much Lane & Bon Scott of AC/DC resemble each other....down to the teeth & trickster personalities? I think it to be pretty cool in a way. GOD BLESS the both of them!
Still the greatest...RIP Lane
One of the greatest that ever put his hand in a bullrope. Best their was in the 80s.
At least he died while doing what he loved. Reading about him seems he would've been an amazing legend of the sport. I think it's great that Cody Lambert invented the protective vest to prevent this type of injury, a wonderful tribute.
great video. the best bullrider ever.
It's a Shame that 6 people dislike this....still glad to see that So Many Enjoy it. I never imagined how many Views this Video would get. Thank You all For Taking time to enjoy it! Long Live Lane!

Jason, Thanks Great job. I don't understand why idiots like to go on pages and downplay people's likes. Thanks again from a retired cowboy
such a beautiful video. it brings a tear to my eyes everytime.
Loved 8 seconds. Then looked up real footage. What an athlete and smiling kind of guy Lane was.Tuff hededam is tough as. Watch his 89 winning ride an try not to get emotional. These bulls are the best fed and looked after athletes in sport. Dont like rodeo fair enough go watch something else.
watched a movie about him when I was young, said to myself I wanna be like him, try my best every ride, like lane said but you cant win them all !

he is my cousins idol... now my cousin is a 3 time WNFR qualifier and has won 4 go rounds at the WNFR and my uncle went to a few rodeos with him
Sadley the vest was invented because of his death and not before his death =( (by his friend Cody Lambert)
Thank you for this video. I enjoyed watching this video. I like the movie titled 8 seconds. Luke Perry played the role of Lane Frost in the movie.
A shame they didn't wear flak jackets back then, he would still be with us

RIP i always watch 8 seconds I wish I could See u i never saw you ride i never wanted to see you die but i know you died a champion cant wait to see you with God u also made me do Mutin Bustin and if i fell i would get back up i even won a belt buckle and i dedicate it to u Lane !
AWESOME VIDEO KEEP THEM COMING BUDDY.
Today is his 30th death anniversary, doesn't seem so long ago.
Such a Great young man.
Great video Jason; I'm quite sure Lane would approve. The average time of a play in the NFL is right at 6.5-7.0 seconds from snap to whistle. If you think that's exciting then go to a PBR event and hold on to your fruit of the looms or what ever. I guarantee you will go back for more....and where do you think the term "strong as a bull," came from....yeah! I say, God bless Country folks....They're the backbone of our country.
♥
This is the 1st time I've had a close up look at Lane. What I saw is something in sports that doesn't come along very often. Someone that is actually bigger than the sport itself. Why? Because like Mickey Mantle, Babe Ruth, Or someone like Lane they reach outside that world and have fans that wouldn't ordinarily be one. Plus he had it all, if you were going to build a bull rider from the ground up, You would say, no wait , just give me that guy. Lane Frost.
Lane Frost is very good
he did do something with his life.... it is called living every minute of every day to the fullest
That bull never been riddin until lane frost he is in our hearts
I have this one a VHs tape. It shows a lot of different rodeo stuff. Time to dig it out :) Rest in peace buddy, and keep covering those rank ones

Well, Honey Badger....it's Obvious that You are a much better person than any of us who Have ridden bulls. I mean, You make pretty clear what a good person You are by Simply Judging a bunch of people You've never met, and basing your judgement on something you know nothing about. It's also apparent that You have much better things to do with your life than any of us have done with ours...seeing as How You have plenty of time to surf KZread posting hateful comments on videos you dislike.
