ELK is a hazard to use on unmarked rural roads. I live in rural area and if I don't turn off ELK every start I have to fight the steering wheel continuously.

Hi, it's automatic, I don't see any options to change it to manual and, HAVAL H6 slows down automatically when you take your feet off of the accelerator pedal. So I think you can use that option. It's similar to engine braking

Hi, I bought the Haval H6 model 2024 4WD a month ago and I have deactivated ELK, I drove for a while and turned off the car after half an hour I turned it on again and checked that the ELK stays OFF that is, it does NOT activate again and remains OFF until I change it ON again. Maybe you can try this version of the H6 to see for yourself. Thank you

Same here. I bought a 2024 model, and they fixed this problem. Very happy with my H6 Hev Ultra.

Very nice explanation. Can ELK be pinned as a favorite on steering menu to turn it off? Also, based on your experiences, would you recommed Haval H 6 Ultra for a new buy?? Lastly, what all accessories did dealership added on for you ???

Hi Kartik, thanks for watching. Unfortunately we cannot add the ELK option in the custom button menu. I just got my RAV4 Hybrid as well, I am going to sell it. Haval H6 is less expensive, has more features and drives well for me. I am not a fan of big brands so Haval will do for me as a good family car. Lastly, the dealership didn't give anything extra to me, I had to fight for floor mats as well, which they provided later.

I have booked it today !! Wait is 6 weeks as per dealership here in Adelaide. Hope all goes well. Will touch base with you once I get it for more tips and info. Have you sold your RAV as yet? Any more comparisons or feedback?

I called a Haval dealer in Melbourne today but he outright rejected that setting cannot be turned off. He said the LKA can be turned off permanently and also the sensitivy can be adjusted. Will be have a test ride soon.

Yes, Emergency lane keeping cannot be turned off permanently, it has to be turned off every time you start your car, the default setting is always ON.

Exactly, dealer updated the media software for my 2021 H6 ultra 4x4 a week ago. Now I have to disable ELK every time I restart car. Original media I could turn it and stayed off unless I chose to turn it on.@@BeingRookie

You should ask the dealership to fix it, I am told the new version has that option to permanently disable it.

I've been advised it's permanently on to keep the 5 star ancap score so it must be disabled manually everytime

How long it's running without turning on the ignition? And if you needed to turn the ignition the what's the problem, it would still be on EV mode so I don't think it would cost any fuel to you. Unless I am wrong here?

It runs for about 30 minutes or less but more than 15 minutes

Why do you want that, when the vehicle is on EV mode it saves fuel, if the battery is low then it will automatically switch over to petrol. So you can keep ignition ON while listening radio

Does the system stops the car at 0 by itself?

Hi, I am sorry I didn't get you. Are you talking about EV mode? If yes then It waits for sometime and depending upon the battery health it may switch over to EV mode.

Adaptive cruise control can apply the brakes but we cannot trust it. So I won't advise you to wait for it to apply brakes for you.
