Absolutely no reason to panic when driving the H6 GT, it's an amazing car. I've driven it to the rural areas of both the Western Cape and Eastern Cape, and I never doubted its capabilities. A dirt road is not a challenge for this car, even in normal mode.

It is very much composed on dirt. Even with normal road tires it does not struggle to put all the power down at all👌🏾👌🏾👌🏾

This car is such a head turner, I love it. I’ve considered trading in the normal H6 for it but fuel consumption is a big factor. Now Chery has the beautiful interior on both the 8 and 7 pro max, now Haval must catch up with Chery interior wise 😂

The road presence on this is quite impressive. It's not easily intimidated. Aowa Sizwe, you still have one of the best value for money cars in the H6. I love the H6, especially the AWD. Yes this has the sound and so on but still, I would not trade. The Chery's new interior is honestly a notch above but not too far. I can still go with this interior in some instances. I am just worried about the normal H6 taking this face as I've seen in some "facelift" reports. The H6 is such a looker in front compared to this one🤔. Dankie Sizwe🙂🙏🏽

It's how that P series struggled on gravel and the H6 GT is killing it. That's kind of disappointing because a bakkie like that is mostly for off roading.

I somehow think I may not have known how to set it up properly. Especially with the ESP automatically turning off on 4H. That made me uncomfortable. I would understand if it was on 4L. I did bring it here afterwards and it actually performed well. The only issue is the tail still gets a bit slippery on curves despite being on 4H. I need to check if I missed some settings🤔. That gravel road though was a bit too rough🤔

The most annoying thing about these digital screens is having to stop every time to do a simple mundane thing. I really wish all manufacturers would keep more buttons. For me the haval h6 gt is a great car, its not luxurious or fancy as the chery tiggo 8 pro max but it looks better and offers more versatility. At the price point I don't see why not go for the H6 GT. With regards to the normal H6/hybrid though, I would rather have the Cherry Tiggo 8 Pro Max. If Cherry had a Tiggo 8 product that was a coupe SUV, man I would pounce on that same time. Making the buying decision end of this month

Putting everything in the screens is actually distracting. Some things should be within reach without taking your eyes off the road. Aircon controls, driving modes and so on. I think they need to rethink some of those things. The old 8 Pro Max is still on the same level but the facelifted one has upped the game with the interior ( together with the 7 Pro Max). The fact that it's a 7 seater will always bring competitive advantage over the H6. The H6 GT though is fun, yes the 187kw in the Tiggo is a great but this sporty behaviour in the H6GT is a selling point.🤞🏾. Maybe Chery will come up with some coupe SUV and we will see how it goes. So far service and reception will separate these two brands. Not easy to choose one over the other🤔

I think the biggest misconception would be believing that a 4WD system is for off-roading. With such vehicles it's predominantly intended for stability in adverse conditions like wet tar surfaces, and a bit of wet gravel/ mud, but by any means not an off-roader. The tires, suspension, and internal hang-on components are not meant for extended exposure to non-tar surfaces, unless if you have deep pockets, especially with Haval.

I agree with you and that is exactly why I don't just bring any car out there even some with AWD I don't bring them here. I was mostly motivated by the fact that many question Haval's quality and they have the off-road mode. Not many cars are as composed as this is on dirt road though👌🏾

Well well well...nice one indeed, the car looks good and it seems to be well planted as well. I'm not sure if we'll be graced with much longer POV drive, of probably night or day...😂😂😂...but your efforts are appreciated sir...🙏🙏🙏

It really felt planted to the road despite the road being a little wet. I might have felt much better in this than the GLC. Probably because I would not have paid R1.3mill😅. I will still do part 2 driving in Town. Night might come a little later but will do it. I have to post the Kia Sportage Diesel as well, so managing the timing as well🙌🏽🙂🫶🏾

Thank you so much🙂! Yeah if you punch it hard it will go up there. I think overall I did around 13.5L to 100km. It's all in the driving style. One tank can give you 400km or 650km depending on how you behave on the road🤔

I think it will more or less be the same especially the AWD one. The 2WD one might need a little bit more care compared to this as it can't put the power down easily🤔. Also I am careful on those, I don't bring other cars to gravel roads as they are not really made for it. I will try get it and see how it goes🙏🏽

They really have a good product here for the price, a real compromise for those looking into a performance SUV but cannot break the bank. Yes it does not "fly" but mostly adequate to outrun a lot of cars on the road and bring the sound with it. Good car this is!

I think they have proved themselves since Haval came in 6 years ago. Initially it would have been a risk to get one especially considering that first batches of any model are likely going to have issues, same with Ford Rangers, VW Polos, etc. Now I think they got the groove🤔🙂

When you sit and look around you will realise how much people are losing great value for their money just to remain with a certain brand🤔
