From what I saw in the original video and heard from watching a TV episode, the constant rain that was pouring down loosened the soil and made the ground vulnerable to landslide. When the train came through that part, the ground broke off as the train passed by and came down on the tracks, derailing some of the cars. Fortunately there wasn't any hazardous materials inside those cars. Otherwise, it would've been a different story.
