I am 62 yrs old and I have been disabled for about 12 years. I am confined to bed so I really need a hobby that can be done while laying down which is tough. While I was on line one day I came across some tutorials on drawing with pencil and with pen and ink. I was hooked, I really enjoy it. However, I have gotten to a point that I just can't improve beyond that point. I need help but I'm not able to go to a class. Today I have found your online tutorial and courses. It's exactly what I need and what I was hoping for. You are such a great artist and your teaching style makes learning a pleasure. Thank you.

When I first started drawing in the late 70's, I hit upon the technique of using cheap ball-point pens, such as the Bic stick pens. When pressing lightly, they broke just right so that you can use pressure to add values. This allowed me to use cross-hatching as you are with ink, but it allows the light and medium values also. Plus is was a lot of fun to learn a new skill. Thanks for your tutorials.

Dude it’s pencil and paper.
Why would you not just trace the important features at the pencil stage? Save some time, and it's the rendering that is the meat of the art, anyway.
