As a former airline captain I would like to complement you on your ATC skills. Top notch! One thing that our training flight department (KLM) was always strict on: reply of the Pilot Flying on (automated) calls and readouts. e.g. five hundred would be answered by cleared or standby. TCAS resolution should always be adhered to and announced to ATC : TCAS climb. There's no such thing as ignoring a TCAS resolution. Safe flying to you sir.

Another excellent infight video Greg. Well done!!! Seeing the TCAS system working was very interesting. There was some amount of traffic around your aircraft during that approach. I felt a little nervous especially when we saw that aircraft below and to the side of you. It would be nice if you were able to inset the PFD/NAV with TCAS to the left side of the video for us techno geeks to view for the entire flight, but I understand that this would probably require two seperate cameras and mounts to achive this and perhaps a fair bit of editing work for you too, but I think it would look pretty cool and I think us data geeks would love it. Maybe a future idea for you:) Have you ever made a video of your walk around of the aircraft as it would be interesting to see what checks you do externally and I'd love to see a close up of the landing gear, engines, or other externally accesible systems on your aircraft. Looking forward to the next video. John Morrison

Not sure if you know, but they took you on the bravo transition. There's a manmade lake on the Firebird Raceway right near where you were at the 20 minute mark and that's the start of the bravo transition. They then fly you north straight over the threshold of the runways in use. If they're using the 25s and 26 like they were in your case then they put you on the east transition. If they're using the 7s and 8 they put you on the west transition. I've done it in the 172 a couple times, really cool! Also all those targets at 16:51 are VFR guys in the practice area most likely from Chandler or Gateway

Thanks Greg for the videos you post. This one brings back memories from my flying days. I forgot how busy Scottsdale is especially on a great flying day like the one you arrived in. In the Navy we'd say Bravo Zulu for a job well done !!

I can't claim to understand much of this stuff, but it is very impressive to watch someone operate and navigate a highly complex machine through a nightmare of jargon, numbers, potentially lethal landmarks and other aircraft in such a calm and disciplined way. Please don't give me any analogies about Swans on water, it would spoil the illusion. I came across you by random chance and I think I have now watched every single video you have. Thank you!
I really appreciate watching all your videos. I lost my medical several years ago and now teach at FlightSafety. I get to fly through yours and others videos. I enjoy yours especially because I'm a conservative pilot as well. My dad was an AF pilot and he inspired my brother and me to become pilots. I flew for PSA Airlines, flying CRJ700s. Miss flying them but I've got a great job now playing w our wonderful sims! If you're ever in Orlando stop in and say hi. I'll give you a ride in the Mustang! 😎
Wow what a facility. Bet you all had a fantastic day.
Just when I think you can't do any better videos than what you've posted previously, you do this! Wow. I've flown into PHX-Scottsdale-Mesa many times so I know the area well. I couldn't believe it when they routed you all the way around by Chandler and then up across PHX! And then the TCAS and video of the conflicting traffic buzzing by - awesome trip if not a bit nerve wracking. Great job :-)
Hi Greg, just going through all of your flights again! Thanks.
That tower controller is on the ball! You both earned your money that day!
Love your flying mate.
thanks for sharing i sure enjoy your flights
Not sure if you know, but they took you on the bravo transition. There's a manmade lake on the Firebird Raceway right near where you were at the 20 minute mark and that's the start of the bravo transition. They then fly you north straight over the threshold of the runways in use. If they're using the 25s and 26 like they were in your case then they put you on the east transition. If they're using the 7s and 8 they put you on the west transition. I've done it in the 172 a couple times, really cool! Also all those targets at 16:51 are VFR guys in the practice area most likely from Chandler or Gateway
That shot of you turning final was incredible
Well that was fun...Those controllers do a damn good job keeping everyone separated. Another entertaining video.
Love the videos--so glad I found your "channel!" Thank you for all the work to put them together for us armchair pilots.

Not exactly. That shot was from my days on the staff of "Cycle Magazine." My pro racing days were aboard TZ250 and TZ750 Yamaha road racers. Love dirtbikes, but I was a better road road racer I think.
You flew over the vicinity of my house on your approach to SDL. I've always wondered how that landing would look in a jet; now I know, thanks!
Loved this one. The traffic alerts seen and unseen. I trained out at Gateway. Nice to hear the chatter over the valley.
Thanks Greg for the videos you post. This one brings back memories from my flying days. I forgot how busy Scottsdale is especially on a great flying day like the one you arrived in. The Phoenix airspace has become a zoo since I had to quit flying (Pacemakers tend to do that). Keep up the nice work, and the work you are doing to promote youth in aviation. In the Navy we'd say Bravo Zulu for a job well done !!
Scottsdale is a fun airport to fly to. When I did some pattern work there, I was amazed at how many high end planes there were. One thing about that airport is there is an INSANE amount of money flowing through that place.
One thing to watch your vid's but always cool to see you flying over my neck of the woods..
It was interesting to hear how busy that one air traffic controller was. Vector after vector after vector. It's amazing the controller even had time to think.
love your vids, hope to see you and at Vegas (my local) sometime :)
thanks for doing this ive always had the flying bug and i now want to learn!!!!
Cool, you flew right over Gold Canyon RV resort, I can see my motorhome!
beautiful flight!
Awesome video.
Wow! That one almost took my breath away.
Appreciate this upload, my son Sherman lives in albuquerque! I sent this video to him, n had him notice the MOUNTAIN range just b4 the city..we FLY down, n the cops just keep eating their doughnuts n coffee! ;)
Love your vids....I have my powered parachute cert. But sold my chute it a bit ago for health reasons. Love watching your vids sir

Thanks Joe!
Also, would love for you to show off the TCAS and what those other aircraft icons are telling you... THANKS!
It really is quite engrossing. Happy flying. :)
Love the videos :)
Another great video, Wow.. Thanks!!
Sweet flight. Very busy ATC near Scottsdale. Thank god for TCAS, eh?
Now that is service, you taxi up to your tie down and the rental car pulls right up for your passengers... very nice. Scottsdale is a very busy airport along with Falcon Field in Mesa. Enjoy your flights as always.
Good action Greg.TCAS is sure handy.Relied on that a lot during first Gulf conflict.Kept us out of trouble.Keep up the good flying. Thanks Keith.

+keith Hartford I'm sure it was quite helpful in conditions over there!
"That was sporty" What an understatement... LOL... Greg, you ARE a true professional and have ice-water running through your veins at all times! Planes in literally ALL directions around you... Did I also hear a Bonanza returning to Scottsdale due to an open door lined up behind you? All you needed was a couple of thunderstorms in the mix to make it TRULY 'sporty' eh?
hope all is well PD1 God bless and happy flying.
