Great vidio Bill ! Like you said, listen for the waves. Especially in ink black nights. One good fall off a rock will put you out of commission for a while sometimes!

This is the most overlooked part of Rock fishing. And this is the first time I've ever seen it addressed. You can spend lots of money on equipment and ruin it in a heartbeat along with hurting yourself. Great tip Bill thanks!

Hi Bill.. Need your kind guidance as to good sensitive rod of weight range from 1/2 to 3/4 ounce to 3 to 4 ounces and which reel to match with. I live in saudi arabia and here we don't have great surfs and waters are mostly like break waters or bays and jetties. Thanks said would really appreciate your kind guidance as to rod and reel recommendation with the rod length and reel size with best market options to buy .. Living in here this far it's really difficult to judge and your kind guidance will be highly appreciated.

Faisal Rafique what size/weight fish will you be fishing for?

@@richdunn9774 thanks rich here the fish are Spanish mackeral, Queen fish and travellary .. Size around 8 to 20 pounds are common. Fall starts the season till march. Regularly found are grouper, flat fish, rock cods all year round.... We mainly fish jetties and bays and don't usually get the opportunity to even wade in light to moderate surfs.. Just bays and flats and jetties mainly thanks

@@faisalrafique6107 That is really tough to say??? I use a lamiglas gsb 120 1m or 1091l . Paired with a VS 200 most of the time for conditions such as that. BUT.... thats just me. If you are a member of the Surf Rats Ball I would recommend posing the question there. Thanks!
