great playing! might be a dumb question, but is this piece playable on a 4.3 by moving everything up an octave or is the extra range needed?

+cmcaggia3 No, unfortunately it requires a 5.0 octave range. But if you were to transpose it, only a few notes would be sacrificed.

+cmcaggia3 I'm playing it on a 4.6 low E marimba and I only need to take that D up a few times....its not perfect but it works if you commit to the phrasing

Are you using Van Sice mallets? Which models? Awesome performance btw!

Thank you! Yes! These I believe were M113 (1) and M114 (3). But if I were to do this piece over (which I might because I don't like these mallets anymore) I would suggest looking into the multi-tonal van sice mallets. So I'd probably use one M123 and three M124s.

Matt Maxwell exactly. I’m currently learning this piece, 1 122 and 3 123 is my suggestion if you are on an rosewood. Sometimes 124 was too hard
