I remember when I played this back in college... makes me tear up. I miss playing music every day. My favorite part was always the small nod to Joy to the World near the middle of the piece. Beautiful rendition, would listen 1000x more if I could.

This is absolutely breathtaking. I've never heard this song before. Excellent mallet choice, that combined with your technique really pulls out the deepest, richest undertones of every chord and gives the piece such momentum and emotion. Sadly, I gave up playing after high school, but it was always performances like this that inspired me. Absolutely LOVE this.

Lorenzo Capasso how did I miss this reply? Yes that'd be AMAZING! I've seriously tried to listen to other interpretations of this and simply do not care for the faster tempo. It distracts from the beauty of the progressive harmonies. I would like VERY much for you to email me this. anthony.torres86@gmail.com

That's because the Vic Virth Performer, in my opinion, takes the open segment way too fast. Her technique and accuracy is superb, but this is not a fast piece. It is supposed to be a slow flowy piece, from my interpretation at least.

  • @lorenzocapasso

Thanks Mr Jarrod!:) For this piece I used: Left hand -> Marimba One DHB3-B Right hand -> 3(Marimba One DHB3-B) ; 4 (Malletech Stout GS13). I think that "MarimbaOne mallets" are the best choise! Very deep sound and emphasize bass!
