That's my uncle, he was a great man, not to worry he was a great fisherman just like his dad. He did fine, put passed on a few years ago and is greatly missed by all.

As terrible as the destruction of the NFLD fishery was the biggest tragedy was that the fish were sold for next to nothing. Iceland and Europe did not do this. At least they got paid for what they killed. Had prices been realistic way fewer fish killed would have made a sustainable living for fishermen. 6cents...18 cents for food! Ridiculous! 60,ooo lbs in one tow! Does anyone think that was sustainable? Of course it was not. No one learns anything.
