When I was a kid our family did squids. Hard work but as a 8-10 year old it was a lot of fun. We loved on the boat and around the beach and wharves. Even putting out the flakes and hanging them on the poles and lines We had a shed-store-stage that we hanged them in with an old oil drum stove going and a big fan in there. Lean times for families, the squids certainly helped put food on the table.

My moms family is from Newfoundland and when I was a kid my grandad took me out on his boat and taught me how to jigg fish.

These squid to crazy at night and you catch catch a bunch of them fast and there really tasty too

love shows.they were the day.when men were men and women were women.....

It’s a shame that the oceans got over fished and government allowed foreigners to fish their local fishing grounds. Foreigners flooded the markets….so sad

£10 per kilo for squid here now
