Land Rover Series 3 ( Will It RUN ) 15+ Years Sat Up Long Wheelbase 109 Restoration Project Start
Thank you for joining me in today’s video!
We are trying something completely different this week instead of creating and machining something we are saving and fixing something, That “Something” being a Land Rover series 3 long wheelbase 109 / 2.25 petrol engine.
This beautiful car has sat outside for 15+ years, Today I will be attempting to get it started safely and without causing damage to the engine.
I hope you enjoy the video!

I have a series 3 long weel base could you please show me some more videos how to service the engine l am from Trinidad
M8 that's engine sound take me back to thirty years ago when my grandfather service his Land Rover in Sudan. Cheers m8 you've got a treasure don't lose it.
Lovely vehicle thanks for sharing, I have a 1973 series 3 petrol. 👍
Keep up the good work and, greetings from the Caribbean (Trinidad). Since high school, I've yearned for a Series Land Rover. Bought myself an assembled in Trinidad, 1986 Series 3 for my 67th birthday in April and the ground-up restoration is just about almost done. I think the Series is a marvelously engineered utility vehicle, a blank canvas if you will, and the owner modifies and tricks it out to suit their unique needs and taste as evidenced by the myriad of end-user configurations..... mine is of course no exception. Great to see, so many people restoring these great vehicles.
Great video style - thanks.
i love Land Rovers, good work reviving that Beauty.

Thanks so much for this video. It really helps to explain things to someone like me who has basic knowledge for Series III. I know it takes a lot of time and effort to make films so thanks again and keep up the good work!

@Wood Schofield Thank you I appreciate it ✌️🙂
I just bought an 81 Series 3. This helped me service it. Thanks!
I'm looking forward in anticipation to the rebuild being the ex owner of a stage 1 V8. Every day I look at the modern cars on the road and there isn't anything that gets the heart beating but show me an old landy? ❤❤❤❤

Nice S3 there and a good video introduction. Seats are posh and the engine sounds pretty good. I can't see if it's an 88" or 109" I have a 1976 S3 LWB pickup, called Solly (from Solly hull), but somebody swapped in a Holden 186 3 litre, straight 6 in 2000. It's running really well after some fettling. I am looking forward to more videos of your Land Rover. It look to be in good nick.

Is this car for sale, love it
Well done mate, great video, whatvwouldvthatvcar cost b in that condition if you don't mind me asking
Hi everyone. I was fortunate enough to own a old series 3 SB as my first car 8 years ago. Sadly had to sell her 2 years later when I relocated. I'm only 24 now and don't know much about these old landys. I'm in the process of getting another SB with a 4.1l straight 6. And was hoping there would be someone with some info and maybe advise before I purchase her. My dad passed away when I was 12 and he was obsessed with landys and I only wish he was around long enough for me to learn a bit more from him. Some video recommendations or maybe just a comment under here would be really appreciated. Have a good day.
Can you restore ours please..
First start and no mouse nest out the exhaust. How does that happen?
