An update of what I am up to with my Land Rovers. This video is mainly focused on my Perentie. Sorry for the quality of the video I had to compress it so it could upload.

G’day Smurf, I use Castrol RX Super 15W / 40 in Motor , and Penrite 30 , 20W / 60 in gearbox and T/Case . Made a huge difference in gear changing. Cheers

I had issues with the starter on mine for ages. Not sure if you’re aware, but they have the ignition barrel, which sends a signal to a relay in the cabin in the fuse box, which then sends a signal to the solenoid bolted to the starter, which then powers the starter. Point being, if the starter doesn’t kick in, could be any of those four points. I ended up having a bad connection on the relay, bad connection on the solenoid, and a dodgy solenoid. If it’s still acting up, first step just replace all the terminals on all the wires controlling the starter.

Try using a synthetic oil like Castrol Syntrans 75w-90. Expensive oil but it does improve shifts.
