I have an '06 LR3, love it. Two weeks ago I was on a 10,000 ft mountain trail in Utah, last week we decided to run to California, Santa Cruz and came back to Utah through San Francisco - Tahoe - Reno - Salt Lake City. Amazing vehicle. Fully loaded with 4 bikes and gear. Love it.

Love my V8 hse. Had it 10 years. 265/60/18 KO2s work and no risk of rubbing.

Love it man! I like the fact that you're keeping it practically stock. I just picked up a 2009 LR3 a few months go and love it. Sleeping in the back is amazing. I didn't know there was a factory slide available for these. I'll have to look into that. Subscribed!

I had a really hard time finding the factory slide. I finally gave up looking for one in the US and found one on a classifieds ad in England and imported it. Shipping was rediculous but it's been such a great addition.

There is also a super extended mode for the suspension. It goes about another inch higher.

Great video! Thanks! I have the exact LR3 (2006 all black) as my daily driver and am intending to gear it up and do some 'overlanding'- so this was nice to see, if not for just the confidence in the vehicle. There are quite a few Rover haters out there, but I and mostly the dogs love ours. Oddly, I have not seen some of the 'stock' gear that is on this one (snorkle, interior roof rack, slider tray) and would like to find out more on the electronic lift programming. Funny I have had 3 issues that you mention as well -alternator, door lock sensor and some minor issues with one air strut. At 90,000 miles we hope to get some years out of our LR3. Thank!!

For reprograming I have a friend that owns a shop and has an Autologic tool - he was able to set the height for me. Basically you are supposed to measure center of wheel to wheel arch with a special tool and the truck "zeros out" where it's supposed to be. To trick is you have to know what it is supposed to be and subtract how much of a lift you want from where it's supposed to be to get it to "zero out" at your desired lifted height.

In part because it has a legit steel ladder frame. SUV here is now applied to anything that has a tall greenhouse and AWD. It's a bit of hair splitting but I guess I'm distinguishing between what most Americans call SUV's that are just cars with a tall greenhouse and AWD and vehicle with a steel ladder frame actual 4WD and two speed transfer case.
