Looks like Houston has got the down Season Blues. Its not warm enough for summer Activities but its not hunting season either. Thankfully hes got a Daddy like you to find something fun for yall to do in-between the exciting seasons. He really enjoys just being beside you! Won't be long and you can teach him to drive the tractor and do little projects that will teach him and he can carry through life. Cant wait to see what new additions you add to the creek. Whether it be a slide or a big swing hanging from the bridge for you and DeJay to sit in and watch the kids play, and cool your feet or fish at the same time... skys the limit. Do you guys turkey hunt? Anywho, the podcast was amazing this week and the Driveway is looking smooth and well maintained. 👌 Its almost time for Gardens and hopefully new babies on the ground. Excited to see how the kids do showing thier Heifers. I love Maggies name but Butterscotchs color. So either way its a win for me! Just wanted to thank you again for your sacrifice In LE What you did still matters. Theres no telling how many peoples life changed or wasnt destroyed bc you put yours on the line. God Bless and keep you safe. You've got one beautiful family that I'm blessed to be a tiny part of. Had it not been for you Id not have found The other Christian, family friendly, educational youtubers like Granger and Amber, Sean and Brandi, Kevin and Rachel, Jason and Brooke, Chad and Rae, Grandma and Grandpa Adler Farms. and many others. Ive learned so much from you all about everything but most importantly how Jesus is the center of everything you do. God Bless you Daniel and DeJay please keep doing things where God leads just like you have been from the start!

Here's an idea, next time you want to adjust those blades, but a 2x4 under them so it is under all at the same time, center a bottle jack under the board, loosen bolts and slowly lower the jack dropping the blades. When it is where you want it tighten the bolts.

Looks like some nice equipment. We always called it a bush hog. But I guess different areas call it different names. The land plane looks like it works better than the box blade. Take care and stay safe out there. GOD BLESS Y'ALL.

We did a land plane video over the summer. We had a company come out and do the work and WOW!!!!!!! Unbelievable how much gravel gets pulled back to the surface. Saved us thousands of dollars. The good news is that our driveway is still perfectly flat and smooth 5 months later. Well worth the investment! 😊

With the box plane, drop your tyres to just touch the surface, the front blade should sit slightly lower than the rear blade. The types, catch the highest points and break up the uneven surface. The front blade digs in to remove and redistribute that gravel. Your rear blade is used more as the shooting blade, and thus only redirects the larger gravel pieces and helps shapes the surface contours. In Australia, you often see screed mats dragged behind for dirt roads and tracks to help in the smoothing of the surface. You pto mower/slasher, for safety, I would suggest swapping out the covers for something that is more visible, I’m in Australia, so how we use, refer to and are regulated for farm machinery and implements is different to the USA. So I can only make observations and comments from my own knowledge.

Hello Daniel it's always nice to see you when you get something new and talk about it and how it works then you show what it does and how to adjust it or make it easier for anyone else who's looking for the same thing but not sure about it. Then you show something similar and that gives them the confidence to get it and use it. You always say you're not professional and we all understand that but you're also knowledgeable about the item to use and what you do with them so I want to thank you for that. Say hi rest your family as always stay safe have fun and may God continue to bless you and your family. From a friend in Fort Lauderdale Florida, 🚜❤️🙏🇺🇸

Glad to see you getting all of that dust and dirt hosed off from your tractor and attachments. That addition to the shop sure is functional. Good decision making, Daniel. Thanks for sharing the workings of you land plane. BTW, the cab not only allows you to control your temperature, it reduces the amount of dust your having to breathe. Another good decision.

Daniel, get prepared for this next crazy winter storm that is heading your way!! I have said before that I am here in AZ where we would have a unusually rare very cold snow storm! Now we seem to be getting them every year & high winds accompany the storms as well. We've had the one that you have just cleaned up and Now #2 is hitting us with the high winds (50-65mph) too plus #3 is waiting in the wings! It's truly one that is a big one hitting numerous states at the same time. We had 82 for enjoying Super Bowl Sunday & Tuesday we were struggling to get out of the 40's for our high!

Daniel, since you can have a long time in between use of that land plane, hit those blades with a bit of rustoleum before you store it so its not just bare metal open to the air. I know its under cover, but still, couple minutes will help that thing last a long long time.

You’re absolutely right about the snow in your driveway. I lived in an area of Illinois or we got probably twice or three times the snow you guys do but we were kind of on a pressure system borderline and the temperature would be 0° at night and 50 or 60° during the day and it would do this for months go from freezing to throwing freezing to sign. Things like shingles and siding that should last 30 years last eight or 10 years there and the roads are a joke they have to be repaired several times every year. Every two or three years they just come lay new road down a dream machines through a break it up And pour new tar over the top mixed with new gravel and just use really cheap low quality asphalt because it’s too expensive to put good asphalt and let that be destroyed. In places where you get snow and it stays there for three months and then melts it’s not that big of a deal but the constant freezing and thawing over and over is incredibly destructive.

A thought, Daniel. When you need to adjust the depth of cut below the rails, maybe have 8 pre-cut shims from 1/4" plywood ready. Each of them cut to the length of the rails. Stack them as desired to give you 1/4" increments. With them supporting each rail, when you loosen the bolts, the blades just drop to the prescribed depth, snug 'em up and stow your shims for another day's need.
