@@zoomyhaxor They have deep pockets that is why. France actually produces some top-notch talent and junior teams are strong and deserve to have team but Germany not sure. Bayern Munich mostly plays with foreigners and locals hand the towels rest of the time. ALBA is technically Eurocup team. See top foreigners in NBA they are mostly from Eastern Europe - Jokic,Doncic,Giannis,Vicevic.

We need new format. Euroleague 1 , League 2, League 3 with always two groups each 15 teams, (30 teams x 3 = 90 Teams in total) All Teams in the Euroleagues dont play in the domestic League. The Champions of the Domestic Leagues playing a playout tournament, the best 4 qualify for Euroleague 3 and the last 4 placed are relagated from the Euroleague 3 and playing next season only in their domestic leagues or if they want for FIBA.

@@darkodragicevic2956 Šta srpska košarka ima od toga što se drugi put u 5 godina F4 igra u Beogradu?Uzeće se malo keša od ulaznica i ćao.Kakva je to nagrada?Na osnovu rezultata koje je Partizan pravio u periodu dok je redovno preko Abe igrao EL trebali su da daju A licencu.Kad pogledaš koje države sve imaju direktnog učesnika u EL e onda ga i Srbija zaslužuje.I još nešto, uz dužno poštovanje prema svima, mislim da je došlo vrijeme da svako igra svoju ligu.Srbija svoju, Hrvatska svoju, BiH i CG svoju pa da vidimo ko je gdje dobrodošao.

@@darkodragicevic2956 i Partizan i Zvezda imaju toliko navijaca da mogu svaku utakmicu da napune Halu Pionir a i Arenu svaku utakmicu posebno Evroligasku i posebno navijaci Partizana.A to bi trebalo da je osnova za Evroligu jer mnogi klubovi koji igraju istu to ne mogu.Svu infrastrukturu imaju u Beogradu oba kluba da nije tako ne bi bio nekoliko puta f4 u Beogradu u poslednjih 10godina.Sto se tice tradicije glupo je i pisati sta u svetu predstavljaju u kosarci i Zvezda i Partizan i Srbija i kakvi ih treneri vode to nema ni jedan evroligaski klub.A sto se tice para i Zvezda i Partizan uvek imaju para zato sto stoji drzava i vlast iza njih i da oba kluba igraju EL drzava bi silne pare ugruvala u njih.Jedino sto nemaju srpski klubovi A licencu je politicka odluka i nista drugo.

@@koutouloufas7 if you go around , visit countries . The only countries where basketball is plaid on a hood court , like in USA , are Israel, Lithuania and Ex Yugo countries. But Lithuanians and Yugo are the tallest nations in Europe.

@@milanlabus1582 because passing can be neutralized in NBA if a point guard cant shoot. Ricky Rubio is widely known as the one of the best passer. But when bigger and faster defends cut his passing angle. Hes almost useless on offense.

@@milanlabus1582 yes. I have a bias for a passing savant. Couse when you are very good at passing. Teams cant really double on you. I was hoping that Rubio developts a three point shot like JKidd did later in his career. Never did.

The basketball world has NEVER seen a Nikola Jokic. And man i cant be thankful enough to jave him playing for my team/Nuggets. I gotta say being a long term/ loyal fan as far back as i can remeber. It has now finally paid off for me and the rest of us real Nuggets fans.. Thank you lord Jesus for blessing us with this man

Naši klubovi imaju mnogo manji uticaj na monetarnu stranu evropske košarke a to je sve što zanima EL - jer se radi o komercijalnom projektu. Kao tržište smo mnogo mali a uz to je i naš standard problem. Fanovi ovde ne mogu da doprinesu budžetu EL onoliko koliko mogu nemci, italijani, španci, itd. S druge strane, budimo realni... dres barse, reala, cska, efesa, itd. možeš da prodaš svuda na svetu, a koliko dresova zvezde ili partizana možeš da uvaljaš napolju. U tome je sva priča jer liga funkcioniše kao firma i ostavlja radnike koji donose veliki učinak a odstranjuje slabe karike. Suveniri su bitna stavka budžeta evrolige a uz to i naknade za licence koje budimo realni, mi ne možemo da platimo. A i da možemo da dobijemo tu jednu nekako, sumnjam da bi mogli da se dogovorimo kao izraelci ili svojevremeno poljaci, koji ćemo klub da favorizujemo i pošaljemo u EL. Boli nas sve sportska nepravda ali sa ekonomske strane sve je čisto. Da ponovim onu već otrcanu floskulu, odavno je sport prestao da bude stvar koja se radi iz ljubavi.

WE as a country have so much achieved in this sport, and we have a BIG fanbase, truly crazy. We gave the world so much, just like Spain, France, Lithuania. We are one of the countries which BEAT the USA and won the world championship. So its about time to recognize for Mr. Bartolomeu. Srbija to zasluzuje!

As Luka said after his first NBA season - most of these guys have no fundamentals. Serbia (and Balkans) have legendary coaches ( Obradovic, Ivkovic, Pesic...) who understand the game perfectly. All of these players have great court vision, versitile skillset, play for the team, want to win no matter what and don't get cocky when they succeed. Even Boban can pass the ball and shoot threes. When you have great history of sports and good system with people who know their job, it's much easier to develop and become a top player.

I agree. NBA for a while has been “who is the most athletic player”. Now with more and more Europeans arriving on the scene the game has shifted to using more tactics and intelligence. Nikola and Luka both prove that.

When Yannakis said in Olympiacos that Milos has weaknes in n laterall moving and they had to get rid of him! Legendary coach Duda Ivkovic said its because he has a such a big balls, thats why he cant move !

Bjelica says here one thing that is a key to all this success. Basketball is the first sport in Serbia. There's more love, passion and everything else around basketball then football. Also we had such a success through history in basketball, so many medals and happiness that basketball brought us. From 1995 till 2003 we were basically every year celebrating titles and medals in front of the parlament in Belgrade. And started in the 70'. As a 40 year old with the family and obligations I still get up in the middle of the night to watch Denver matches as I was doing it before with Divac and Stojaković being in Sacramento. Basketball is life here. You just have to come to one match and see the atmosphere. There's nothing like it anywhere in the world except maybe in Greece and Turkey.

Great documentary. However I would expect you to at least mention 3× EuroLeague champion (2000, 2002, 2003) and 2× EuroLeague Final Four MVP (2002, 2003), 1 EuroLeague Top 16 MVP (2002), 1 FIBA World Championship MVP (1998) great player Dejan Bodiroga.

Selfishness in any team sport in Serbia is not appreciated. It's all about team as a whole not about the individual. The better you are in your sport and more skilled, the more you work for the team. Serbia has extremely great sport teacher's in primary school. They are not just teachers of sport but they are extremely great in pedagogy. They teach, nourish, nurtur and take care of kids especially during their grow spurts in sport, to prevent any injury. Why Serbian sportsman are so good, is they develop skills in many sports in primary school. Many can choose to play other sports, but they pick sport they fall in love with.

We need new format. Euroleague 1 , League 2, League 3 with always two groups each 15 teams, (30 teams x 3 = 90 Teams in total) All Teams in the Euroleagues dont play in the domestic League. The Champions of the Domestic Leagues playing a playout tournament, the best 4 qualify for Euroleague 3 and the last 4 placed are relagated from the Euroleague 3 and playing next season only in their domestic leagues or if they want for FIBA.

Euroleague already made a movie on Spanoulis, nobody said you are not a powerhouse in basketball, and that you don t have great, huge players, this is just an achievement that never happened, and a little dedication to Serbian basketball like a pre story on this year s final four in Belgrade.
